They’re not my favorite genre but I’ve had my fun with them. My brothers and I used to play Mortal Kombat on some arcade machine we played a lot. We also played a lot of Budokai Tenkaichi 3 back when that was a thing. Then there was Mortal Kombat X and I made the horrible mistake of learning combos and eventually my brothers didn’t want to play with me anymore. Tried the most recent Soul Calibur but, aside from the clothes break mechanic, there’s just nothing there for me. Currently trying to learn BlazBlue Centralfiction but anime fighter games feel much more complicated for some reason.
