It's all about getting good RNG on a weapon and blasting bosses as far as you can be. Melee is shit though, you gotta perfectly dodge to avoid damage, that's it. And, you get stat checked for Estus every once in a while with AoE, which sucks.

The worst part is the insane HP bloat Nightlords have when you're in a squad. Every nightlord fight I've had ends in everyone having 3 bars for revival, and two guys trying to desperately finish them off, and that's if they play it perfectly.

Bird not only doesn't have to stop attacking during enemy combos, he actively reflects damage back to bosses and stance breaks them just by standing there. You can literally knock a charging Fallingstar Beast on it's ass mid charge just by blocking and reflection, any other class at best can pew pew it as it runs and at worst needs to stand around with their dick in their hand waiting for it to get bored of spazzing around like an autistic kid with too much sugar. Add on +stamina on attack, (reflecting damage counts), and enemy attack spam can actively fill your stamina bar.

Key locations don't change but others do, and all items are random so sometimes you get a god run, sometimes all you have is a poison dagger and a dream.
If anything, this makes things easier to get down, since once you figure out "oh, the castle is always worth doing" you'll be doing it every run and having at least once significant source of drops.

Certain things don’t change location like evergaols or the castle. It really just comes down to what you want as each area drops certain weapons. Ideally on the end of day 1 or during day 2 you full clear the castle in the middle to easily reach lv15 with a decent chance at good weapons. Don’t forget to equip a relic with ultimate arts cooldown on kill greatly accelerates clearing trash mobs as you travel, a good example of this is raider totem stela when used in the blood ruins with all the zombies surrounding the blob will give you your ultimate again just make sure to be at a decent lvl or boost you damage with a buff before ulting the pack of blood zombies

Spawn locations aren't random, there's clearly a set amount of places you can spawn. You're almost always dropped near a flask upgrade, church, or fort. There's usually an evergaol relatively close, and there's almost always a small camp of shitters for you to mow down that gives just enough runes to get to level 2, which is the single largest jump between any two levels in the game. Spawns aside the game isn't THAT random. Locations change but what is in those locations is always the same. Every Frenzy camp will have the same layout, enemies, and boss. Only the physical location of said camp, or whether you get it in your map at all, is different. Randomness really only matters for items, boss "drops", and random events like raids or rarer spawns like the Frenzy tower, invaders, etc.

To be fair Guardian in general is a pretty bad fit for this game, it's absurdly difficult to play defensively against most of these hyper-aggressive bosses. The way the game calculates boss aggro is also pretty fucky, I've had bosses disengage from fighting me to attack a player trying to revive a downed teammate. If Guardian can't count on consistently keeping aggro then it makes it an even worse option, you might as well just play Raider with a greatshield.

increased aggro works on every single hit/block and while it doesn't mean he has the bosses attention the entire time it does mean he has more than his fair share of boss aggro.
I also try to run decreased aggro on top of it though. looking to get it on a relic.

the biggest killer in multiplayer is when he tries to grab a player, the player dodges it, but his grab has such a big fuckoff hitbox that it clips into someone else and grabs them instead

It's easy you just have to always save one magic hit that you can retrieve with your special ability. Once you have three magical one you'll be able to cast an orb that does auto-damage, that will guarantee you a full fp refill.
If the two other players have elemental weapon you're good to go and will be able to make better cocktail more easily.

I only have trouble with bosses like Freja and some dragons since the lock-on system fucking sucks and you don't always hit the right target, you can ran out of hp quite easily on solo.

I know this exists but what does it actually do? I've used it myself and didn't notice much of a difference. The same goes for the "less likely to be targeted" modifier on weapons. The way Nightreign handles aggro seems pretty weird, it's like EVERY action you can take has an assigned aggro value, so you don't even have to be damaging the boss to get its attention. Part of what makes Bell Bearing Hunter so difficult in my experience is that he switches targets so haphazardly, which makes the gap-closer shoulder charge and those wonky telekinetic sword attacks way more dangerous since you can't be sure who they'll hit.

Idk if I just have insane luck or if I'm a bit better than the average nightreign player but queuing with randos has been pretty consistently good for me. I struggled a lot early game to get the hang of everything but after the first few hours no new boss has taken me more than 3 expeditions max to beat, even the newest challenge mode one. Really don't get the complaints about randos being so unplayable. Also with how fun this game has been its got me even more pumped for Duskbloods.

If you're in front of him then his bites are all just the typical ER random delays that you need to memorize roll timing for. Not much advice can be given for that, a greatshield helps if you can find one.
The big thing to watch out for is when he raises his head up, because that's when he starts spamming AOEs that will hit behind him. If you roll the head slam correctly, then you can just mash out the second roll and the queued roll will avoid the following lightning too.

Most of his shit isn't too hard to dodge, his grabs are very forgiving and his AOEs are very telegraphed, the problem is that he doesn't stop for even a second so its hard to get consistent hits in, meaning your squishies have to stay alert and can't dump on him or use big windup spells safely and your frontliner can't keep constant aggro since he has to keep rolling and can barely get a single poke in before going back to rolling.

Had two runs so far. First time there was no cinematic on entering adel's arena, two massively long loading screens and one guy got disconnected for whatever reason, game bugged out I guess. As someone who though Recluse was absolute trash at first but then realized how she is the strongest character that kills every boss, go do every Sorc Rise. To do that, first learn all the puzzles of how to open them both inside and outside (you can look up a youtube video on this). Then hope and pray you either get Rennalla's or Ranni's moon on one of the staffs available. Just get this and you have won. It's a super homing nuke that kills everything fast. If you don't get it, then just get whatever comes out fast like lightning spear. Or if you're really really hard up and you didn't find anything good, get a relic that starts you with the calling bell and just spam that.

I've played Guardian a couple of times, and I think the biggest detriment to him is that other players on my team aren't taking advantage of his shielding

lots of people, when they gain aggro and don't have melee such as recluses will attempt to kite bosses away so others aren't in danger and can hit them in the back, which is of course usually the best strategy for the rest of your team

but a guardian with the "shielding draws aggro" relic only gains aggro on successful blocking, not just for holding the shield up. so I wish ironeyes and recluses would dodge or sprint towards me, instead of away

Get to last boss, drop hand of malenia for him. Shield bird seeds legendary rushes and picks it up, refuses to drop it for the crucible sekiro guy, already has a legendary halberd.

If you get easy bosses for you class you can realistically clear some PoIs alone with ease. Day 1 locations shouldn't be too hard, I constantly see people rushing in to start a fight without waiting for others and winning. Runes are shared I think, one time I got to the other side of the map to get away from two retards dying on cooldown against a storm castle on level 1 (the one with invaders and shadow mobs) and still got runes for their seldom kills.
