Most of the people in charge don't atleast have the sense to call arcsys to make the arena fighters so yes. Especially for bleach since those guys don't give a fuck about making video games in general let alone high quality ones.

It recently made a 3D mode. It's part of the boss fight so it's short lived, but it's pretty much the best Luffy's looked in any OP game. None of the Japanese ones ever bother to do more than make him punch hard, it's nice to see one do more.

Is there like an actual reason why Tencent/Nuverse/whatever Chinese company makes better licensed anime games than Bandai? Like even if you don’t like the combat or the gachaslop micro transactions, there’s still far more effort put into these and not even just from a visual standpoint. They’re increasingly becoming more content-heavy than the globally released anime games.

bandai isnt allowed to let games with good stories be made. the "deep shounen" story is selling large numbers cause the people buying it think they are buying the #1 best story ever. if some random video game has a better story they will lose their selling point. so it ends up just rethreading the manga's story or just being pure gameplay. all the budget they get is also for wanking important manga moments. the rest is made on a shoestring budget. thats why a lot of these look so cheaply made.
