Rogue trader. It's my first crpg even though I've always been a PCfag since I was 8 but I'm usually into RTS/grand strategy games.

Totally respected opinion, which version the ASCII or the steam one? I couldn never get into the ASCII version but i've pondered getting DF since it's similar to rimworld(steam version). For now i prefer Rimworld because i like the visuals more and i spent quite some time learning and modding it.

YES! Rubberbanding is my biggest pet peeve in racing games, I noticed right away F-zero didn't have it and I could lap around the shitter racers. It was awesome. I used to be obsessed with the arcade game Fast and Furious superbikes and the rubberbanding was hilariously blatant. I got good enough to get the highest scores in busy arcades and enter my name, and the AI would still usually get ahead of me at the last stretch. What a shame the new Mario Kart embraced rubberbanding hard.

A-Train 3d city simulator, its a train transport company sim for the 3ds. I havent played a game like this since trying Open TTD with a friend years ago. My main issue with the game is how it will drip feed tools and mechanics to you, because of this I find myself trying to do things the hard way just to unlock an new option 15 minutes later which solves any problem I was trying to work around.

i'm also on chapter 3. i don't have the 5 star autism but i work long hours and i live far from work, so i don't have loads of time to play it. i do remember from my first playthrough back in 2019 that chapter 3 was the longest chapter and it speeding up quite a bit after that. chapter 3 almost feels intentionally stretched out. you got past the "training map" of the east coast and are then thrown into middle america/west coast map that just drags on and on, really trying to make you FEEL the toil of the deliveries, FEEL the futility of delivering always having another package to deliver to people who barely appreciate it and almost do not want you around despite being their lifeline. progress is slow and you start to question "why am i doing this?" and then you hit the junk dealer and things get interesting and then you move to south knot for the chapter to finally resolve. and then the pace really quickens.
i fucking love this game.

Okay, a little frustrated that a project I was working on didn't work out 100% on first testing. Turned out to be a problem with some hardware, so I ordered a replacement and took the time go over my code and found a couple of ways to improve it.

ToTK on switch 2 feels like pc emulated version of botw which is good, but yet again I give no fucks of the story and the game seems harder than botw. Traveling is easier but weapons seem to destroy faster and enemies seem tougher.

FFXIV. Still working on relic weapons. I'm trying to get the Augmented Laws Order Weapon for Machinist now that I've gotten it for Warrior. Still unsure if I want to complete any Relic weapons. The fully completed ShB weapons are massive downgrades from the Augmented Laws Order weapons imo. Trying to set up groups to farm Delubrum Reginae is a massive pain for several reasons. There hasn't been a single day this month where I haven't felt like pic related, and the anxiety has been leaving me in all sorts of pain every day. What's more is that it looks like I'm gonna get fired from my job pretty soon, which has been the biggest source of anxiety for me these past couple of days. The job didn't pay much but it allowed me to stop leeching off my parents for stuff, and it was the first form of identity that I've had for myself in a long time. I do have some valuable skills on my resume so I'm hoping that pulls through if I do get axed. But right now it's not looking good.

Today went fishing with my dad and younger brother. Didn't really catch anything but it was memory building experience. I finally cleaned my room, got a new mousepad and did some lifting.

Same thing I always do, cold turkey I just stop. I can do this with pretty much anything. Drinking I didn't really plan on it, just had too many shitty nights of sleep and said done. Same with vaping. Same with periods of appetite or physical self sabotage. Once my mind switches Im fine. Probably a byproduct of Bipolar II but is what it is.

This was a substance I like had to go way out of my way to acquire and use again. Im never around the stuff not a single friend uses. I hadn't taken it in like 8 years since college. Then went through DNM, dabbled, binged and quit for months, then slipped into it daily. So fortunately all I do to quit that part is like, not do the runaround on DNM plus the main one I used just got closed, its another sign.

As far as 7oh thats tricky because its just a drive or clearnet order away. But I dont want it. Like the thought of it just really grosses me out right now as does the flab Ive accrued from not working out. Realization hit so Im done. Only other thing might be grabbing a therapist to keep myself honest weekly.

Nah, running 25 miles before the sun has risen after a 24 hour fast, and then flopping down on your floor and sipping an orange Crush as soon as you get home is bettah. I used to be hooked on pills when I was in the military and I never got a rush of feel good brain chemicals that has matched that feeling. Everything feels good. Your brain is exhausted, but you are hyper aware of every sensation. You can feel the blood pumping in your veins, the slightest breeze from the fan feels like a million pieces of silk caressing your body, the colors of your living room seem brighter, everything looks sharper and more vivid, sounds are clearer and intensely interesting. I saw the cover of a book entitled "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," when I was a kid, but I never read the book so I had no idea what that meant until that one exact moment laying on the cool wooden floors of my house. I was in the world, but I was apart of it. I was acutely aware of my body and every sensation imaginable, but at the same time my mind was free from the constraints of the physical. Everything was so real that it became hyper real, and above it all I existed outside of reality. At peace and oneness with everything. Just an endless flood of happy chemicals my brain was feeding me, and all because I pushed myself to my absolute limit, and then rewarded my brain with sugar syrup and rest.

I have spent the last decade+ chasing that one moment. I've come close, but nothing will ever match that feeling again.

I hear you. The way it actually happened was I had to get patellar surgery during round 3 of the crossfit open last year. I was obsessed with crossfit and powerlifting four straight years. I was in incredible shape.

That recovery period, combined with relocation and new job, I just didnt come back from it quick. And I was on oxy post surgery so it was an easy excuse for me to go to more extreme lenghts.

Im at a regular gym right now which I hate but trying to get back to like 80% of where I was before I go all in.

Exercise truly does beat every other high. And you get the extra feel good boosts from feeling accomplished
