He hasn't made a good game since MGS3. He's a just a bit of a hack really, I enjoy MGS 1, 2, and 3 but the rest of his are pretty bad.

These are the main reasons, primarily the PS5 exclusivity. I'd be happy to buy the launch edition if it came out on PC. I really hope Kojima launches the PC version ASAP; as I recall he was pleasantly surprised that the Steam version had the largest sales and the longest sustained playerbase, where consoles had more typical peak/valley near launchs and then then holidays. They know the game sells now, there's no question there's a market unlinke the original, so fuck console exclusivity for 6 months or more, especially if they expect us to pick it up for full price after all that time.

I've spent 10 years building up backlogs. This is what the industry wanted me to do and I've done it. Now I have a tremendous shield which protects me from having to spend 60-80 bucks on any game and I don't care if they like it or not because it's their doing. If they want to offer it to me for 20 bucks, sure I'm interested. Otherwise I'll see you in 3 years.

Every single time the same post, Kojima is a hack but these embarrassing movies that have like 10 minutes of gameplay, the worst fucking stealth gameplay ever, are good.
Death Stranding, MGSV and Peace Walker are the good ones, since Kojima remembered videogames are supposed to have gameplay and not just dumbass cutscenes.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Death Stranding. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the trigger buttons most of the traversal will go over a typical gamer's head. There's also Kojima's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his writing - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Hollywood movies, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these references, to realize that they're not just films - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Death Stranding truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the meaning behind Amelie's existential catchphrase "Like Mario and Princess 'Beach'" which itself is a cryptic reference to videogame classic, Super Mario Bros. 2. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kojima's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Norman Reedus tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
