The Neptunia games had already released in Japan, it was specifically the western release that got canned. They're only releasing on the Switch "anyway" by using Asian-English, which is not a proper western release nor a true replacement; it's only a bandaid and still won't draw as many customers since they now have to import and can't advertise through e-shop sales. And the west is literally Neptunia's most lucrative market, so this circumstance is crippling for it and Compile Heart. We already saw how Hyperdevotion's Switch port barely moved 1.5k copies in Japan despite a major marketing push (for CH). These games need the western market more than ever now and being denied that is going to kill them for good, taking the last of Japan's soul with them as it fully becomes another ZOGslop factory.
