He says right there that Nintendo is still a viable option for them (I'm assuming he's explicitly talking about the Japanese side there). In a previous thread I brought up the possibility that Takuya Aizu said that because he's unaware on what's being done to Otaku games, but he seems to be fully aware on what's being done to them on Steam (a western platform, so not his home turf in the slightest, nor one that fuck with his company yet), which would lead to the conclusion that he does in fact know.
This might mean that he knows more than we do, since Inti are long time third party partners to Nintendo he might've contacted them about their policies to confirm if they'd be able to release a new Gal*Gun on the Switch 1/2 (why even bring up the possibility to begin with?). Plus we know that a literal who like Sugar Rush can get in contact with Nintendo Japan directly so why wouldn't Inti Creates? I also speculated before the release of Servants of the Dark that all three major platform holders are giving Inti Creates special treatment over a variety of reasons, so maybe that schizo theory is actually true?
They already mentioned that they have several games in development for their 30th anniversary, which is next year, so we'll have to wait and see if any of them is a new mainline Gal*Gun.
