I think the game leans more towards general action than platforming but this is still very much part platformer. The ability the climb walls doesn't mean it's no longer a platformer, there are many floating platforms or land that is out of reach that you need to jump to, as well as obstacles, hazards, and unclimbable walls that hinder your climbing. Actually, recent Zelda games let you set the voice language separately. You can play BOTW with the Japanese dub with English subtitles, for example.
Super Mario Wonder had the same functionality: You could switch the voice acting (what little there was) to Japanese but keep the onscreen text in English.

That was the virtual console. We had it. It was fair, and we could enjoy it any time we wanted, regardless of membership status or intenet connection. Look around, nobody "efforts" anymore. Rool in it, is that if they want DK to be a big IP again, they would benefit from having an established villain/antagonist character they can use and reuse in different ways going forward. K. Rool is the obvious choice, not just because he was in all the Rare games, making him the original DKC antagonist, but he was in Smash Ultimate, which sold over 36 million copies, and many millions more people played that game so they'd be at least a little familiar with him. It would be the easy and most effective route.
