There isn't really major tips for him unless you mention a specific attack because it's a straightforward fight. You just have to learn the attack patterns and abuse Beta/Burst skills to consistently break his shield to get past the absurd defense levels. If you remember the hold heavy attack skills that trigger after perfect parries or dodges you can follow after his run away attacks a lot better, but that is a bit advanced for the average player.
Also just use Slugs for the instant kill cherub attack.

That's why it's advanced techniques because you have to know when it's actually safe to do the second follow up that actually teleports you them like the rush attack. I still screw it up all the time personally.

But basically the tips are just general stuff that you do for everything eventually,

Frankly the combat has a very mmo pace to it, where you basically use your skills to do damage and move around. That said outside of rush, this isnt about looking at cooldowns. Attacking and parrying recharges your basic blue energy while perfect dodging recharges your red energy. Blue energy is for your basic skills and red energy is for your burst skills. Throw in a ton of more combo skills and so on and you will find that you can do a lot with the combat system, its just that the game does a really poor way of explaining this to you. Doesnt help that your skills and so on are pretty gimped in the first few hours for the sake of progression.

The blade waves is a free knock down and is ranged. Quadruplet has the issue where bosses will back off from you as you perform the initial three stabs and you whiff the entire thing.
Also that combo is very lengthy. I only ever get to use it if the boss is shield broken and knock down.
It's safer to use XX hold YY because it includes a dash attack that tracks the target. The animations are relatively fast so you dont worry about getting hit while in mid animation.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but my honest opinion is that the game is really shallow. It's carried hard by it's environment design, character design, music and sound design.
When it comes to gameplay it's really lack luster, the quests are monotone, repetitive and underwhelming.
The battle system is really simple and easy to abuse. You are too overpowered.
The level design at first sight looks complex and well thought out but in a closer analysis is too linear and even then uses yellow paint everywhere. Also however thought that putting two massive desert areas almost right next each other was a good idea has to be fired.
The fast travel system is poorly implemented, doesn't make sense that you can't fast travel between xion and the wasteland.
The game doesn't trust the player to be able to progress by their own merits so throws hints at you obnoxiously, multiple times to make sure you know where to go even if the solution to a puzzle is right next to it.

I'd say, however, that despite its flaws I still find the game charming and "comfy", it really reminds me of being young and playing Phantasy Star online. Not really worth the price of admission by any means, it's the kind of game you just turn your brain off and enjoy because you know the game won't be challenging you in any meaningful way. It's like rewatching a movie or tv show that you like, you play it because you already know that is a comfort space for you and you don't want any stress.

Then how is that any different from an rpg where you ignore entire weapon classes because you dont like its playstyle? We can apply this to Nioh for example. In Nioh the only weapons I liked was Fists and Dual kats and I basically ignored half the skills because low stance 2 kat was very fun and allowed me to rack up elemental debuffs on an enemy really fast.
Does that mean the game had no builds because it was this particular playstyle that I liked?
Hell I dont use counters in this game because having to press hold Y/X or Y+B is confusing for me and yet you can see many people use it either way, like the parry counter hold X + Y, which I mostly ignore because it tends to overlap into LB+ X and I cant get the timing right.

Build up the Beta Meter and use L1+Square, she's unable to counter that shit.
Because she will dodge your L1+O attack and if it connects, she will fake out being knocked down and proceed to slam your ass to the ground
