I will respond to your post as if the attached file does not exist because I want to talk about video games on the video game board

I thought the way Bloober handled the "Leave" and "In Water" endings of Silent Hill 2 Remake were horrible. "Leave" in particular. The original "Leave" ending is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in a video game. The peaceful still shot of the cemetery paired with absolute silence while the voice actress gives it her all reading the letter was so emotional. James and Laura leave the town with music that inspires hope for a fresh start for both of them. The remake ruins it with a cheesy ADHD flyby of the town and a very generic sad piano track. James and Laura leave the town as ominous music plays. The script for the letter was shortened. All catharsis was murdered by the remake's version.

It's a really, really weird movie in terms of tonal inconsistency. It starts off serious, has some creative camera angles and shit (they put go-pro cameras on dogs). Then the editing goes normal in the middle, and the characters make retarded decisions. And the ending is the just... Literally fucking Power Rangers action scenes.

28 Days set the scene but 28 Weeks is the one really amps shit up by 11. That opening sequence only would filter anyone that can't do the beep test without coughing up a lung. The thought that Bigsby managed to survive the first days only to cause another outbreak is cinematic storytelling at its finest.

What could he have done in that exact moment? Most zombie films has you getting fucked once you're surrounded even worse when said zeds can now run faster than you, move in swarms and the virus has a turnover rate in the literal seconds. Even Bigsby couldn't kick the shit outta a horde of rage zombies without losing a chunk or two in the process.

>it's Liam Neeson level of cuts
Speaking of Liam Neeson he's doing a Naked Gun reboot now. Maybe his jokes will land a lot better than his punches do.

i heard about the reboot, watched at the trailer and it looks 7/10
liam neeson is at least fully leaning into the pisstake police, but the jokes aren't as funny as the original

The original had funny jokes? Maybe a few. The scenes of OJ Simpson getting 3 Stooged were hilarious, I guess.

it's like airplane, the slapstick jokes and making fun of the police genre and TV show cliches made it good
