you are smart unlike average gaijin who hate nintendo
many say they will pirate switch 2 game

comments:

People who pirate are not customers

I am appalled at the low ethical standards of foreign countries that still insinuate piracy at this stage of the game
Don't justify your lack of compliance and decency

Resellers are pissed off both domestically and internationally
It's working great!

It's funny because after all those anti switch boycott, it's selling great

I know it's been common knowledge for a long time that pirates are hanged

What is it really about foreign cultures that endorse piracy? I mean, they just criticize and play with pirated copies, it's just too much

All in all, what a peace and what can we consider a virtual great defeat for the resellers and the Nintendo antis...?

I'd like to say to those who defend piracy:
“Do you know the words and meaning of respect and ethics?”

I don't want you to play by posting "I'm playing pirated copies, how do you feel now Nintendo?" You could have bought it if you worked that time. Shame on them.

I guess it's the difference between
“Omotenashi”
to make customers happy or not.

That's exactly what you'd expect from people who think it's okay to loot things when there's a riot

Is Nintendo's legal department in the US strong?
I hope they beat up pirate users

I've never seen Japanese fighting over items for sale at a store in Japan.
Overseas, it's a national trait to be the first to go and not think of others.

You want to say, “Who was boycotting?”
If you don't like it, why are you playing pirated Nintendo games?

What? Nintendo is DEI? Piracy is DEI, I think DEI means people who don't spend money and only criticize.

Piracy is moral? Japanese content is 100 years too early for idiots.
If you approve of piracy, you are a criminal. If it's an old game that is no longer in production I can understand emulating it, but this is the latest model

comments:

In case you're wondering, at the time of the PS5, the price in Japan was set higher
They didn't make a fuss about the PS5 being expensive only in Japan, but when it comes to the Switch, they make a fuss about discrimination, which is no different from saying that it's okay to discriminate against the Japanese, but not against themselves

If you're going to hold a grudge, hold a grudge against those who resell, pirate, and violate rules.

They complain that Japanese can't speak English, so why don't they learn Japanese?

But you guys don't respect the original work or the creator, right?
They say "we spread the work abroad" when they have not contributed anything to the original authors by watching and spreading pirated copies for free

At least now the US has no reason to complain

I thought the same thing about Pal World, but it's really annoying that every time something happens, they say something like "that's why we play pirated versions"
You complain all the time, but in the end you're going to play it without paying for it, so just shut up.

"Only Japan got a discount!" Nintendo has only made the price based on the yen, not the dollar.
It's a different way of thinking in the first place.
Why do they always think they are the standard?
If you think about the performance of Switch2, people will buy it

They said "whiner", "crybaby", "Cry harder", "Snowflake", "Spoiled brat" to Japanese people who criticize during Assassin's Creed, but these people are exactly like this

Too much discrimination against Japan
The world still looks down on Japan

Look at the salary difference between Japan and other countries and then tell me

At the time of Palworld, people overseas were also saying to the Pokémon side
"They are monopolizing the copyright!" I guess there are a lot of people who are brain-dead

It was okay, nothing to write home about besides discovering a few things and playing the minigames with the family
I wouldn't have bothered with it however if online users totally weren't losing their mind over this demo being 10 bucks, I suppose thanks for the free advertisement.
And as far as I recall, Nintendo never made anything for free. Even Wii Sports was an actual extra 50 bucks more shipped with the console (for a total of 250 bucks), while Japan had a console-only bundle for purchase.

The fucked up thing is that it's not even really a tutorial in the conventional sense, it's an unnessicarily in-depth exploration into the hardware inside the Switch 2, the English name sets the wrong expectation. That said, it's still incredibly niche software and offering it for free would have been a gesture of goodwill amidst an avalanche of expensive consoles, accessories, games and paid upgrades. It's not like anyone is going to be playing this after the first week of owning their Switch 2 anyway. I feel like the most sensible compromise would be to offer it at no additional charge to active NSO subscribers.

Which isn't a bad thing by the way. Arguably the reason why JP makes such great games is due to this "Conform and go full steam ahead even if it kills you mentality". Or as I'm going to call it from now on, the "Keep smiling" mentality.

I don’t agree. There’s a lot of small details shared about how they designed the switch 2 that none of us would ever know if they weren’t shared on welcome tour. Collecting the stamps becomes easy once you realize you have to explore near the components. I’ve been playing an hour or two at a time. The mouse mini games are fun. Even had some fun with the multitouch button mini game where you need to keep all your fingers on the buttons. You really don’t know what you’re going to get next. They could have made the over world and character models less generic but overall I think it’s worth it for those curious. I’ve worked in supply chain/manufacturing for years, and I do find it fascinating how things are made. I imagine the average child wouldn’t give a shit. Especially with the quizzes they have scattered throughout the exhibits. This is definitely not for everyone. It definitely could have been a pack in, but this isn’t really the same kind of tech demo as Wii sports. This is more informative and testing the features.

>Are they doing something different technologically to all the other mice?
Yeah. It doesn't use a laser or anything like regular optical mice.
Instead it uses a tiny super low res camera to take like 1k pictures a second and then it compares the the pixels of the photographed pictures and compares how they relate to one another in sequence in order to make judgements of how you've been moving the mouse and in what directions.
It is genuinely more reliable than any PC mouse I've ever used. Works on more kinds of surfaces, even really shitty ones.

It's still just a mouse by the end of the day. It's not like PC mice -needs- an upgrade. But this is an upgrade. And I'd like a mouse like this for my PC too if it was an option.

Neat. I'm guessing most mice don't bother with anything like that because they assume you'll be using them on a suitable flat surface instead of your trouser leg or a sofa cushion or whatever, but sounds like a cool innovation.

Japs have always loved their companies and tech, because in the past they were at the top and actually made really good stuff. Lots of good thing even outside of tech used to come out of that country. Now they've lost it. But they're still consumers worshipping modern e-waste just because it's "Japanese" (actually chinkshit manufactured abroad).

The Reiwa era, and especially the covid hysteria shortly after the new era began, completely mindbroke the Japanese. There's a huge difference in Japanese society and just how people there act even comparing the late 2010's to the past 5 years.

Why should I care about what Japs say? They're the most brainwashed people on the planet when it comes to letting game companies fuck them in the ass. Smash Ultimate's online is borderline unplayable because it adds a minimum of 4 frames of delay (making it at minimum 11 frames of input delay when playing online after combining it with the game's inherent 7 frames) and western fans took it into their own hands to fix Nintendo's incompetence and make online playable and the Japs actually get so upset about that they think anyone using the delay reduction mod should be banned. They would rather their game be unplayable than mod it and fix it themselves. They're cocksuckers of the highest degree.

modding of game is against terms idiot
gaijin break rule and complain their switch is banned

comments:

Buy normally and play normally and you won't have to fear.

It means those who go the extra mile are not the customers Nintendo wants to value.

They make modifications that are forbidden, watch pirated copies of anime and pretend to be customers by critiquing the show, foreigners think that Japanese copyrights are something they don't have to abide by, and so on

Just realize that the modification tool itself is illegal.

You have licked too much of Nintendo's seriousness. Please accept it and contemplate.

Advice to those who have been banned!
The country where everyone can enjoy Nintendo's games without violating the law will become a safer place.
Start by recognizing the small criminal acts as “bad”. God bless you all for having such a wonderful educational device in your hands!

Why are you trying to modify it?

Nintendo values its “customers”. If you have purchased the product through the proper channels and there is a problem with it, please contact us. In other words, please use the Switch2 only if you understand the text in this manual and other things that are common sense. That's all I'm saying. Oh, you look like an adult, but is your actual age 2 or 3 years old? If so, you can't play with it. Please come back when you are older.

You say “Japanese resellers are vicious”, but in other words, “C and K country resellers in Japan are vicious”.

Cheaters and modders are a blight on
the people who play normally
If the rest of the world is a raging shithole, we have no reason to conform to their standards
If you like or appreciate Japan, you should conform to our standards
I wish many people are on Nintendo's side

I don't understand why people are complaining about Nintendo's response.
It's in the terms and conditions to begin with?

Westerners seem to have forgotten the word "rule"

There are surprisingly many adults today who don't care about what they are taught as important when they are children, and it seems pointless.
I am very proud and reassured by the presence of Nintendo

It's no wonder that if you leave mods unattended, it's the end of Splatoon and other competitive games. Good times

Jailbreaking iPhone or rooting an Android is something you do knowing that you will lose your warranty, but I think it's just a bunch of idiots who have not been exposed to such things that are making a fuss about it.
If you get banned, it's your fault.

There is no need to protect those who hack, mod tools or resell. Nintendo is a quintessential company that takes care of its fans who properly and legitimately purchase its products.

They've got a lot of measures in place for those who look forward to piracy
Sasuga Nintendo

If you buy the software from Nintendo or the store yourself and buy the software from Nintendo in the normal way, there is nothing wrong with that.
It is wrong to be angry because illegal is not allowed. Those who have engaged in illegal activities and got what they deserved, please repent.

When I see things like this, I realize that foreigners have really low morals when it comes to copyright

The long awaited cry of “ah-ha” from abroad. (LOL)
Nintendo, it's “God”, isn't it, the “execution of divine punishment”

I have learned that those who abhor Nintendo in the West are people with potential criminal tendencies.

I wonder if there is an aspect of “Nintendo hate” overseas that is rooted in hate for Japanese.
Hating Japan even though they use Japanese products. It smells like the same thing they do in the neighboring countries

Westerners are as intelligent as stinkbugs.
I'm not making fun of them.
Seriously.

You said all you wanted to say about the PALWORLD thing, so I guess this is retaliation for that

Yeah sure I'm definitely sure it's a well polished piece of software, but Nintendo is incredibly stupid for thinking putting a price tag on it was not going to backfire. Astro's Playroom was worth $15-20, but having it free on PS5 was a show of goodwill and led to eventually creating GOTY2024 (no, I haven't played it). And it's an actual game with good pacing.

Why wasn't Welcome Tour free? It's just going through text boxes and mini games. It's not like Nintendo couldn't afford to release it for free.

My mistake, I should have clarified that I meant this:
>It is genuinely more reliable than any PC mouse I've ever used.
Laser mice are genuinely the most reliable mice ever created. High polling rates vs resistance to dust means they will run circles around an optical mouse every time. Does that mean optical mice are bad? No, I'm using one right now.
But it sounds like a standard gaming mouse. I also have concerns over the form function because a mouse is created to fit your palm. A joycon is a piece of plastic that doesn't conform to your palm.

What we need is a real RTS game, I wish Relic wasn't fucking retarded or they could port the best RTS game to it and we could see how well the mouse holds up.

>Semantics
I mean kind of. But I said "optical mouse" instead of "laser mouse" because "optical mouse" would be the umbrella term including laser mice and all other kinds of mice that built on the principals of optical mouse technology. But you responded by saying that I was wrong even though I was just comparing two distinct types of mouse technology.
Yes there are many different kinds of optical mice and the quality can vary a lot, but I was pointing towards the general technology used and comparing it to this new, different type of mouse technology.

It's not just about hertz. Are there mice of higher hertz than 1k? Absolutely. And yet it is my firm impression that these joycons punch way above their weight.
However the sequence of photographs are interpreted has got to be rather impressive, because the end results are mice that are way better than what you'd get from a 1k hz optical mouse even though they share the same frequency of sensory input.

All I did was, very understandably I'd say, compare two distinct mouse technologies. But I wasn't the one to dig deeper into what "optical mouse" entails. I understand that you hold laser mice to an extremely high standard, understandably so. But I wasn't the one to turn this into semantics.
I am just under the impression that camera-mice have higher potential than optical mice, laser mice included. And I'd love to see camera-mice not made by Nintendo.

So fun fact, optical mice are camera mice too. So even a regular mouse you get from the store can take pictures.
Which is also semantics, I just don't see how the joycons can be better mice than actual mice considering they're using the same technologies. Does it provide feedback using the rumble sensor while using them?

Eh. If you stretch the definition of camera a lot I suppose.
Granted that I just called it a camera-mouse because the cameras is more sophisticated. It's not like Nintendo or anyone is calling them camera-mice. But what else would you call them? It's not the same technology.
I wouldn't call optical mice camera mice. They aren't just low res photos, their visual data is selective.
