People complain about exclusives, including me, but without the tens of millions they put into every exclusives budget, they probably wouldn't be as good. Me and my wife have a hobby room for our PCs and other stuff, very comfy. I sometimes feel bad for hogging the better hardware but she wouldn't use it, she plays older games and indies mainly.

I could see Xbox submitting to pc since they had pc versions of many of their games decades ago because Microsoft. But it really stunned me seeing Sony finally give in an and port everything.

I honestly kind of would. It can't play new games, but if you're that strapped for cash, you'd likely only buy games on sale anyway. Plus, it's a PC so you games will stay with you if you ever get the money to buy an actual PC or upgrade to SD2. While consoles have started taking backwards compatibility more seriously, to be honest I don't really trust them. So far it's only the previous generation on consoles while it's not limited like that on PC. Plus, all it takes is one good generation for shareholders to get greedy and make MS and Sony drop or limit BC. I have this case, the power button crapped out (got stuck in) after about 4 years of use which means the computer will turn on for a couple of seconds then turn itself off. I literally had to disassemble the top of the case, get to the power button cable, let the PC power on and then unplug the power button cable so it stays on. Never had this happen with a PC before.

Such a minor issue which pretty much means I have to keep up with the plugging in / unplugging shenanigans to power my computer or have to transition all the parts to a new case.

I bought an Alienware PC and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I can play anything. I'm basically paralyzed with indecision because I've never had such a good PC before. It's so quiet and runs so cool. I can play anything, I don't even know where to start. My library is full of games that used to make my CPU run like a jet engine, to say nothing of actual modern games I never had a chance of running. It's an incredible feeling.

As someone with PS5 and PC they are very similar in experience unless you really like mods. I go back and forth between the two depending on genre. Only PC matters comes from people who only have a PC but my PS5 plays most of the games I actually play. PC has a lot of exclusive autist games I never touch.

PC is the only place you can get 60+ fps at your screens resolution. And its up to you which scaling tech you want to use, DLSS, FSR, XeSS. And if you hardware cant keep up, you have some control over graphics settings, resolution, and fps you wish to play at. You arent stuck with whatever bs settings they picked. Often there are mods to provide more graphics options for even better visual quality or performance.

I have a 4080. PC is perfectly fine but Windows likes to jumble around my TV monitor and PS5 is just better at dealing with my TV's receiver audio. So if I don't need a mouse for the game and the mods wont change a huge deal about it (don't care about model swaps) then I'll get it on console. Exception is if I want to pirate a game. Steam prices match PS prices for most games so PC isn't any cheaper.
