Ok so I finally finished my second playthrough by rejecting Adam's hand and I have something to say about the Return to the colony ending.
One, Elder Naytiba is a cheap ass final boss, Providence was more satisfying, Two, I am now 100% convinced that Making New Memories is the canon ending, because Return to the Colony is being pretty subtle about the fact that it is the "bad ending" of the game because it's just a cutscene and there's no DMC3 style end credits fight and there's no mention of the fate of Xion, and the post credits is just the "the search for the truth continues, which shows that they didn't bother to put much to that ending. I may be proven wrong but my stance remains solid that Making New Memories is canon because they put a lot more into that ending than Return to the Colony

Its brief but it shows her caring side, her hatred of EVE, does a better job of explaining why she'd so devoted to Him and why her disillusionment with Mother Sphere was so bitter.
Its a short but sweet set of character moments that give her a little more depth that wasn't covered in the game unless you know what you're looking for.

Hoping that Project Spirits ends up being good, though signs point to it just being Gacha Blade and Soul, not that would be a bad thing if the game at least tries to keep a decent standard of combat.

I don't remember the percentages but attack speed equipment goes up to like 50% faster if you want, and there's a Burst skill that increases attack speed for the duration on top of that. I don't think it's meta, but if you use the Chain Type Exospine and the Combo Enhancement gear you could focus on combo attacks with like 50-60% damage boost.

I don't know where, sorry. The best ones are much later on and I "think" the Chain Type Exospine is the Great Desert, but there are three tiers of each Gear type so you can rock the low level ones for smaller increases until later.
Until then just buy the Beta skills and the parry/dodge follow ups in the skill tree so it feels faster.

I personally love anime sci-fi outfits and the game is full to the brim with them. Weirdly the vast majority don't even clash with the overall setting which is a feat to accomplish.

What makes me not care about the characters is the amount of vague backstory I have to hunt down in different collectibles to make more sense of motivations.
I don't need to be spoonfed everything but a little more character drama would've been nice to have.
