You’re strawmanning, Wanted Dead is literally made by ex Team Ninja members but it doesn’t mean Wanted Dead has the same exact mechanics that duplicates NG. A game can absolutely be directly influenced by a prior title without needing to copy every mechanic down to the detail. Dense as fuck, I’m probably wasting my time on someone who either hasnt even played the game or played it on easy because the combat was too challenging so they had a dumb experience. I bet you didn’t even figure out you can guard cancel your moves for chain attacks

In depth mechanics alone doesnt but a game by the same people who unapologetically states it, might have something to do with it. Wanted Dead is not NG nor is it even a spiritual successor.
