Uh wouldn't call this tech but the running SST with the sword automatically OTs. And you can OT mid-string by delaying the heavy attack in most cases on all weapons.
You can do running attacks after throwing shrukens out of running/sliding state if you keep the stick active.
You can toss single shuriken out of slide if you keep the stick active and throw it shortly after.
You already mentioned the bow aiming thing but just in case, you can utilize it after slide to reset your state to neutral for Cicada Surge setups
You probably know that Ryu can FS the enemy he windpathed off of but if you do it at certain distance and the enemy blocks the FS, Ryu will immediately hit the ground. You can buffer 360T in advance or do any other attack like both running moves or OL S/T. Only works with DS.
With dual katanas you can do >S/T after cicada surge.
With DS you can input cicada surge and buffer a shuriken toss to skip the teleport animation, useless but looks sick
With Lunar you can redirect your SoB attack onto another enemy after dodging it with a cicada surge.
Cicada surging paracelsus fiend's suicide grab lets you SoB other enemies nearby.
Talons' heavenly justice works during manual UTs, it's helpful to spread damage between several targets. Doing it with the free one ends the UT prematurely unless you start doing it after the third teleport.

I think NG2B has a more up to date version of that mod (called "White" there). If you only care about 2 then get NG2B instead, otherwise MC is a better deal if you can get only one or the other.

Both characters got the same reworked block, counter and dodge mechanics, both have the grapple and they both can do the things you could do in other NG games, the control scheme will be near identical, the only difference is Yakumo has his bludbind meter whereas Ryu has ki. There are no signs of dodge offset and witch time in the game,Yakumo is the least Platinum character there's ever been. Wtf is even the same as usual?

It's all about the karma score when it comes to ranking and items don't have any negative influence on it. On the contrary you could use spirits of the devil to refill your ninpo before finishing the mission and it would net you some extra karma at the end chapter screen.
