Pretty sure Dante's comedy is a front to hide his self-loathing at being literal hell spawn and less than human. The fact Virgil has a kid and Dante doesn't is proof IMO, Dante is celibate.

Back then, Dante was kind of a James Bond type character with a different girl in each game and continuity not really mattering all that much. But then DMC4 happened, and Dante getting older started actually getting acknowledged and now we're in the state that we're in. Also, Capcom seems to be deathly afraid of actually letting their characters be in a relationship, hence why everyone in Street Fighter, Resident Evil and DMC are still single unless their relationships were pre-established from the start. The only reason Ken Masters is married is because he already had a girl he was devoted to from the outset, so him getting married is a no brainer. Same with Nero, he had Kyrie from the start. But everyone else? Ryu? Leon? Jill? All single to this day.

Also, it would not surprise me if there's some kinda well-document statistic that says that characters who are in a relationship are usually less popular. Bear in mind that the majority of Dante's fans who actually care about his life life want him to fuck his brother.

No, but I don't see any world where it works out long-term. They definitely like each other, there's nobody with whom Dante has even close to an emotional connection but her, but the events of DMC3 will just have destroyed them as people thoroughly. No, but it feels like an end point. The next game needs to have Vergil and Dante learn from their father more closely. Vergil learns to truly redeem himself and become a Legendary Dark Knight who stands up for justice despite his past crimes, and Dante needs to learn how to cool down and love a woman. To my understanding Tom Constantine (The white guy in that webm) is a guy who used to post on /m/ frequently and hosted a tokusatsu fansite. He decided to head to Japan to try and make it in their entertainment business so he could be in tokusatsu. When he got there he started up a website focused on tokusatsu news and somehow got actual connections to people in the industry leading to tons of interviews with all the various actors of the current and previous shows including the major directors. You can see how it ultimately worked out. He started off as an extra in random scenes in the background and now is a one-off character in shows until Geats where he became a side character who could transform.
