it's also why him buying the rights to duke nukem's TV/movie appearances is really funny, nobody gives a single fuck about duke nukem and nobody is going to herald him as the "savior" of duke nukem the way he wants to be heralded as. he's on record seething about devil may cry coming back from the dead on its own with DMC5 before he could get his shitty netflix series out, and the sheer time gap is also probably a large part of why the netflix series is an even shittier retelling of DmC with some surface aesthetic of DMC proper

monsters are still made of magic or otherwise have less physical composition than humans, noelle and a child monster are both freaked out by blood, monsters do not have blood and turn to dust after death
the human soul seems to still have some kind of indefatigable power, kris needs the soul to seal dark fountains no matter how bad he hates the thing, there's no word on if it's still "determination" or not but characters like queen have referred to it as such and it's consistently referred to as a kind of willpower
