I went back to CTGP-7

Trying it again for a bit, the best parts of 8DX are the course selection and 200cc. The mechanics aren’t that interesting and it can feel restrictive at times.

like all nintendo games, the fanbase will proclaim it to be the greatest game ever made, then quickly forget about it within a few weeks and never bring it up again

The game is fun once you actually start grinding and wall riding but the average shitter on /v/ will never be good enough to actually interact with game specific mechanics that you have to go out of your way to use. They'll just race like it's a normal Mario Kart game and then complain.

Daily reminder that Splatoon 3 is currently the best multiplayer game for Switch 1/2. It has amazing matchmaking, very quick to find matches, and game is overall very fun. I haven't played MK8, but MKW doesn't hold candle against Splat3

Making the costumes different slots and drastically reducing the UI density of the character select menu to just have 12 characters a page is what pisses me off in that regard. The crime of this game is somehow making a soundtrack that rivals 8DX with the DLC, but I can't hear a lot of it whenever I feel like it in-game.
