We can't even get censored Vita ecchi moege any more (Dungeon Travelers 2/2-2, Tokyo Clanpool, Gal*Gun), or all ages VNs (Holy Undead) or even eroge with the H-scenes removed (Nekopara After). I said from the very start that this game was prime Steam ban material. Anime art style, especially moe anime? Check. School setting? Check. Lolis? Check. Ages prominently displayed in character bios? Check. Any amount of fanservice/ecchi, even if light? Check and mate. The only thing that could have saved this game is Nexon exerting pressure on Valve plus the large and vocal fanbase potentially lighting a fire under Gaben's ass. Better start lighting the internet on fire, paging every single outlet and putting Steam on blast everywhere the same way Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate fans did when Chaos;Head Noah got banned. This is the exact same situation as Nekopara After, which has been delayed on Steam for nearly two months now with no communication from Valve despite having all the H-scenes removed. Nekopara was one of the most popular VNs when it came out. Valve seems to be getting bold again. Hopefully this will ignite enough of a backlash to put them back in their place, or God help us all.

So it's very important to remember that Steam has community guidelines, but that also those guidelines are enforced by moderators. And moderators are independent people with their own opinions and values. When Steam first started allowing pornography on its platform, there were a handful of content mods who didn't like the idea of porn on Steam who started turning down any game that slid under their noses that was porn or porn adjacent. It caused the whole platform to redo the guidelines again and again and figure out what was up with these mods over and over. And even now we still have mods who grand stand in defiance of the clear guidelines because they themselves don't believe that certain games are acceptable. My point being that this isn't so much a "Steam is super unreliable about what is and isn't okay in regards to adult work" issue and more so a "Steam has moderators who can't do their jobs competently when porn is involved" issue.
