Yeah you really shouldn't worry about it. I'm about to finish NG++ for the final ending at 100% achievements. But in this playthough I can't get the Edios 9 outfits since you need to 100% Lily first. So at the END of NG+++ I can finish collecting the outfits. Then I can play NG++++ to enjoy them.

I'll probably end up doing that but it wasn't worth stressing about in the meantime.

Been done with the game for a couple days, came for the ass but stayed for the gameplay. Here's hoping the sequel has more interesting fodder for us to fight in the form of interesting mini bosses and the like, as it is this game's combat only shines during the extremely short boss battles.

I'm too much of an autist to not do all of the side content but side content in this game really fucking sucks for the most part so I'm getting burnt out and I don't wanna cause I'm kinda really enjoying this game

Since just about everyone here has beaten this game, how do you think they will proceed with the story for the sequel? They said a year ago both endings were "valid" and they hadn't decided which would be canon, so it can go either way
If Eve does go back to space, then I guess theres still plenty of Naytiba to fight in other parts of the planet. If you merge with the Elder, you obviously have a lot of enemies to fight in space. You could also go around the world eliminating other dangerous/wild Naytiba and trying to rebuild civilization

I'm also curious what life is like there, but i really don't see anyway that you would be able to experience the Colony as anything other than a battlefield after the merger ending. You'd have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to even rationalize her taking damage, it was be a big let down following that ending unless you had MS make some new super-androids specifically to combat her and make the whole thing her fighting through MS's new super army, and again even though you don't kill him, it still has no Adam
A possibility is you play as a different Android and the final boss is GodEve from the accept ending.

I wanted to get all achievements but I really cant see myself doing all these sidequests and backtracking a second... third time. At least not anytime soon

I dont think they were a great trio at all, Lily and Eve carried it while Adam was just kind of there lying his ass off the entire game. I do see the problem with Eve being an untouchable perfect being at the end of the game, but they could always pull a classic video game "you lose all your powers" trope and start you with just the sword/gun and some of your moves. I highly doubt theyre going to add a new ending and work from there, they've already claimed to be done with this and working on the sequel, which theyre hoping to release in 2027 but it might have to wait another year depending on how things go

I also thought the open world areas were full of well designed segments. I can actually recall what I had to do in many areas of the open world areas because the activity felt distinct, even if the pieces were reused. From The Great Desert, I remember:

>the fight with quest fight with Behemoth
>the hypertube entrance
>the small fishing hole at the bottom of the hypertube
>the ruined spine splitting the desert in half

>the weight puzzle next to the opera house
>the singing angel hidden in the highway tunnel
>the ruins gated a fence, quicksand and hidden bombs (pic related)
>the hideaway for the nanosuit designer on the outer wall of Xion

>the lone escape pod in the West of the map
>the location where the Xion refugees met their fate
And a variety of smaller experiences scattered throughout The Great Desert.

The way I think about it, it seems the developers created the smaller segments and then stitched them all together rather than creating the open world area then trying to fill it in with content. The latter is what I've often experienced with open world games, where they create this massive world for a sense of scale, but end up using a lot of copy/pasting to fill it up with content to meet deadlines.

They could have made The Great Desert bigger. They block us with a sandstorm effect once your reach the edge of the map. The map itself is not that big. So, it was probably a conscious decision to keep the map relatively smaller compared to other games so the content felt more immediate.

Sequel needs more believable armor options. Most of the outfits look like the stuff you used to get in NG+ on older games.

Depends on what your aim is, if you just want the bad ending you can skip it all in the next one. If you aim for every outfit, then you'll want to level Lily again since you need to revisit Eidos 9. But you don't really have to do every sidequest to get her maxed out, picking up data, memory sticks and doing the main quest all adds to her score well. And of course don't forget the 2 or 3 quest that do have an outfit tied to them.

1. will you visit Eidos 9
2. what ending you will get
Since you need high Lily to get to Eidos 9 and a low Lily meter for 1 of the endings, they cancel each other out. Eidos 9 costumes reset twice, you need to visit it 3 times total, but it also locks you out of that bad ending for all those 3 playthroughs. Forcing the 4th one if you want to do everything.

but if you missed an outfit in NG, you'll get the NG outfit on NG+ instead of the NG+ one and then get the NG+ one in NG++

Yes. Certain nanosuit crates have different outfits depending on if you've found the original one in NG, and then go into NG+
For example, the crate in Eidos 7, the very first one, gives you 3 different outfits in NG, NG+ and NG++ assuming that you found the previous outfit in the previous cycle
So if you for example didn't pick up the outfit in NG, NG+ will have the "regular" outfit, meaning you'd have to go into NG++ to get the second outfit and then NG+++ to get the outfit after that.
