Centipedes are the most disgusting looking bug though. I used to live in a house with them and I would nearly have a heart attack when I saw one at night. They’re basically demons. I’m leaving this thread now cause I know someone is gonna post centipedes to troll me.

Huge spider crawled out of my shoe the other day, way bigger than the ones I let live in the porch. Carried him outside and he jumped from his perch and booked it.
Had a singular large moth land on me and not want to leave my shoulder after coming inside unexpected. Two days, wouldn’t take the bait to go outside. Moths live without mouths so they can only breed or die in few days. Felt bad to lead it astray

I just killed anything that wasn’t a cellar spider/daddy long legs. They have such a webbing advantage with their long legs that they’ll just act as a defensive wall killing other spiders. It’s been years since I’ve seen anything other than a wandering hobo spider.

Centipedes are assholes that will crawl on the floor where you might step on them and then get a fistful of venom in your foot. Spiderbros only hang out on the ceilings and catch way more pests with their webs.

It's weird.
As humanity has evolved from living in caves and huts, so too have bugs moved on from the wilds of nature into furnished homes, but they haven't grown any cuter.
You would think after all this time, spiders would be cuter as to be less squishable.

Insects have the same biomass as humans it doesn't matter if you are third world or first world you will not avoid them entirely. Also centipedes murderize the fuck out of bugs in a way spiders can only dream of.

Personally I'd reccomend:
>Sucker of Souls
>Sonnie's Edge
>Snow in the Desert
>Bad Travelling
>The Very Pulse of the Machine
>Night of the Mini Dead
>Swarm
>Mason's Rats
>Shape-Shifters
>Fish Night
>Zima Blue

Is that better or worse than cock-voring a moth?
>Bing-chilling in the middle of the night during summer because sleeping schedule is fucked
>Moth the size of a thumbnail lands on my monitor
>Not the first time one has visited me like this, but I decide to wiggle my fingers at it to mimic its antennae
>It stops moving and just starts at my hand, then actually jumps on it for a second, then back to the monitor
>Repeat this the next few nights with the moth landing further up my arm towards my shoulder and staying longer each time
>One night I wiggle at it
>It lands on my thigh
>"Aw it's exploring"
>It starts crawling up my thigh
>"Moth-chan where are you going?"
>It crawls into my boxers and I never see it again
So that's how I ended up possibly cock-voring a moth
I know I didn't squish it because I made sure not to move at all while it was doing whatever it was doing

Centipedes are fair game. Fuckers are actually dangerous to humans and like to get in your way.
Spiders almost never mess with you and if they do you can just pick them up with an index card and put them back in a corner.

Harvestmen are one of the best creatures to have around.
I watched one on my bean plant stop and suddenly pull a hair thin larvae out of the bean plants leaf.
They are absolutely great for the garden and home.
Did you know you can feed them food scraps?
They love honeydew rinds.
Unlike most spiders, which they are NOT, they actually eat whole food pieces.
They are basically giant mites but beneficial and fragile.
They eat aphids too.

>>713492270
I know people who died too, completely unrelated to harvestmen though.
It is impossible for harvestmen to cause any serious harm or you are mistaking another creature for them.
Several creatures go by the name "daddy long legs" including a few flying insects.
Sometimes common house spiders are mistakingly referred to as such as well.
There was a whole episode of myth busters about this and embarrassingly they tested the wrong creature entirely.
The myth was busted from the start because harvestmen have no venom, or hollow fangs to deliver it for that matter.

Some centipedes are bro-tier. But not those damn silverfish. They are the only one that’s crawled on me because they will skitter onto walls where you aren’t looking. Now I did catch a normal centipede once and he didn’t seem bothered, was in the zone and nourished even so I lay him go. But that’s because he didn’t care that I was there. They are very high IQ bugs and do what they please, unlike the niggerfish that panic and skitter

subhumans who get paid to ruin threads here cant come up with the methods themselves. so when something unexpected comes up, they can only scratch their heads and let it play out.
thats why when you get a few good threads about an old game, the next day or two you will see a few threads about that game filled with the same demoralizing content you see in other threads. they need time to get new content and orders from above.

Wasps have nearly full control of an eggs (males only develop when eggs are left unfertilized and are haploid, only females are diploid), males are less useful because reaching sexual maturity takes longer for them. Fewer males over females thus becomes the most efficient method for reproduction.

Reminder, the stated goal was to 'drive away users from 4chan by gradually making boards and threads less interesting for them' and the easiest way was to saturate the board with garbage while also making it impossible to discuss anything. Hence the emphasis on making all threads about any topics negative and full of shitposting, and creating thread 'boogeymen' that keep everyone infighting and too busy to stay on topic or care or notice about how obvious the raiding of the site and its threads by these outside actors is

I saved a lil jumping spider in my room the other day, i saw him around for a week and all of a sudden he was all curled up on the floor but i poked him and he was super sluggish so i scooped him up with some paper and put him into a corner by my mattress and he was moving around a bit more and the next day he was way more active than he was before and i havent seen his body yet so i imagine hes still jumping around thanks for reading my blog.

I only have cellar spiders in my room.
Once I saw some weird brown spider that I have never seen before enter my room through the window. I immediately lost where it went after seeing it.
When I was vaccuum cleaning a few hours later, I moved my shelf on wheels aside and saw a cellar spider webbing up the previously encountered brown spider.

These are the biggest bros you'll ever have.

Leeches are skinbreathers, so coating themselves in slime would not be beneficial. They live in moist environments anyway. They're also related to rainworms, which are also not slimy, iirc.
I am skimming the wikipedia article on leeches right now and couldn't find anything about secretion of any slimes; just that they "sweat" during sucking (excess water from the blood).

one time i was on a really remote and poorly maintained hiking trail and had to climb this incredibly steep and narrow path up a hill lined with small ~10ft skinny sapling trees on either side. there were an insane amount of webs drawn across the path and there was no other way up so i decided to man up and go through. literally never had an experience so uncomfortable in my life - it was straight up fear factor shit. hundreds or thousands of spiders immediately fell all over me. literally more than i could count; like ants. felt them crawling under my shirt and through my clothes for literal hours afterwords.

Venom is used for predation while poison is a defense mechanism. It's why poison dart frogs are called the way they are. Though venom can also be used defensively, like for bees.

Every once in a while sometimes I see a single tarantula in my house, but they as far as I know the ones the size of hands that live around here just make you very very VERY itchy and nothing else, and you can usually just kill them with a good sandal throw + stomp or broom/squeegee attack.

it comes down to preference then man lol. i don't like either bug but if i had to choose between hand-sized spiders and fingertip-sized centipedes when neither one was actually physically dangerous, id choose the centipedes.

Breathing makes it a poison, I guess I should have added inhalation to the poison list. Like the spitting cobra example, it' counts as a venom if its forcefully injected into the body (either from a wound or into a mucous membrane like the eyes) as part of an attack. If you want to be really nitpicky about it and shove poison dart frogs in your eyes then you can call that a poison.
