Play for the first time in about a decade and all I have seen are 15-25 year old dudes and any younger are the same ol squeakers some even spouting the same memes as 10 years ago, its bizarre. Oh and the odd actual female in their old haunts of the non typical game mode.

Valve has a free work structure where devs are allowed to work on whatever they want. IIRC the only dev who went on record to say that he still supports TF2 is the animator of the meet the mercs vids so he's completely useless for making actual updates

f2ps never really used chat, mostly because most of them didn't even speak english.
People who got fucked over that were cheaters on new accounts, you can tell that they were cheaters because they're so poor they couldn't even manage to purchase 5 bucks worth of anything to enable chat.
Also, the only reason why I don't play tf2 that much anymore is because cheaters are still rampant. That being said, I do get a kick every now and then.

I'm not too keen on ever joining any multiplayer pvp scene in any vidya cause I suck at games and I have an inferiority complex that causes me to break down when anyone sees me lose once, that's why I love quake 3 and UT so much, cause they have some great bots and fill that arena shooter pvp craving without the actual pvp

I got a Steam account since 2012 with almost a hundred games bought on it and a ton of activity, yet I can't chat in TF2 cause I didn't spend 15 bucks on the store cause I don't care for TF2's customization, despite playing since 2012.
