3 was the best one.
1 and 2 were fun, but badically prototypes.
5 had excellent combat, but felt too long and bloated.
4 was unbalanced and just plain shit except for Godcat.

personally i like 5 the most, it has the most depth and content and felt like an actual full length game (aside from 4 but for me 4 is mediocre) and also it's my first ebf game and i think it's the funniest one
4 is very boring, the game gives you multiple overpowered weapons at the end of battle mountain which is very unbalanced but i think it's fun, the final boss is also good
ebf3 is great, it has the best pacing and each weapons/gears felt more unique than the other 2 games (each weapons get their own unleash effect)
i don't really care for the first two games

Still love the series though, but I kinda agree with Matt. A 6th game shouldn't happen, not only because 5 felt like the pinnacle and a perfect conclusion, but I know he'd find some way to fuck it up with his personal biases (I know you fucking lurk here, Matt, so yake that advice to heart)
