The music in Warband is better than 5/10.

5/10 gameplay is pretty generous, so A. It's clearly going to be a good experience with passable gameplay.
B will probably get boring after a while because the story sucks so there's little reason to interact with it, it's not pretty to the eyes (says visuals, not graphics, so it is just ugly with no upside, probably runs like shit) and the music will be completely forgettable and won't go well with the gameplay.

Franchises live and die by stuff like characters and writing and music. A good example is saints row, the gameplay was the same servicable stuff as always, but the reboot still failed massively because it had none of the characters people knew and loved and replaced them with college shitters. Or fire emblem fates, regardless of how good the gameplay objectively is, people still despise it and call it the worst for the horrendous story and writing. Undertale would've been much less popular without its iconic music. Fallout 1 and 2 are not really fun to play and have barely any music, but they're remembered as great games solely for the writing and the roleplaying they offer. I could go on but you get it, gameplay is just not as important as you think it is, at least if you want your game to be loved and remembered

Game A. Might have performance issues or be clunky in terms of mechanics, but it's worth it when music, visuals and story make the perfect atmosphere and immersion into the game. Many indie games fall in this category.

While Game B can have a desired gameplay but lacks the immersion and have little to no story (i.e.: AAA FPS games) or, in the worst case scenario, have a repugnant story enough to dislike the game whole despite its good gameplay (i.e.: TLOU2). Game B is one I would avoid unless it's a multiplayer FPS game worth playing with friends.

Sekiro, Elden Ring, Lies of P, Armored Core and Cuphead have visuals, story and music way above 5/10, they are close to game A but with the 8+/10 in gameplay from the game B.

Bloodborn has the pretty good gameplay and perfect visuals along with story, although in terms of music it's more silent that the other souls games, although in exchange it has better sound effects than the others. It's way different from both game A and B.

NIOH2 would be the only game falling a bit on B, although the music would sit around 7/10. Khazan was a 6.5 or 7/10 at everything, even the devs said it was rushed.

Wuthering Waves is shit, it's a solid 5/10 at every single category, bringing it to your list just makes others see you as a slop consummer.

No one cares about replayability anymore and it has lead to devs making games hyper cinematic at the cost of games having stupid slow walking sections or equivalent mechanics that ruin replayability because who cares, modern gamers are only going to go through this once anyway.

I think it's the other way around, all the popular souls games and roguelike indies are basically arcade games in how repetitive and loop focused they are, gone are the times when devs tried to make serious interactive experiences like Dude Sex or System Shock

As much as /v/ likes to complain about them, soulslikes only make a very small portion of games coming out. Also Dude Sex and System Shock are immersive and interactive but they're not cinematic. They weren't trying to be movies, they took advantage of the fact that they're video games.

I'm old as fuck and never really gave a up about le ebin gameplay.

My favorite game of my toddler era (4-7 years old) was Star Ocean for the SNES or SEGA genesis I forgot. The one whose gameplay looks like a dungeon crawler. I wouldn't call that gameplay "phenomenal" when even Street Fighter already existed.

I also don't replay games, that's stupid. I've hundreds of games I haven't played yet (compared to zoomers that have thousands). I don't have time to waste on replaying an experience I already got. The only time I replayed games was when I was a child and thats only because my mom wouldn't buy me a new game every month, so I was forced to replay them. My income allows me to never partake in such dogshit behavior anymore. Fuck replaying games, I prefer to try new things.

The problem with this question, is game a usually has far better game play than people give it credit for. And games with good gameplay but "stupid stories" tend to have under appreciated stories.

I think the problem is story fags play a game with a good story and gameplay but theyre there for the story and go this game play is shit because they dont bother engaging with the game play

And the same for "gameplay focused" games, idiots just skim the text or skip dialogue and then say "durr this story sucks"
