Why are gamers so obsessed with RBG lighting?

Do you think the reason Sony and PC fans get so mad at Nintendo fans being happy and loyal toward their company is because they haven't been happy or excited over their own company in years? Is it all jealousy?

I prefer simple neon tones to rainbow LEDs or bisexual lighting. If I was gonna have a "gamer room" I'd make it all one color and avoid using cheap tech.

i feel like its a feedback loop because nearly everything has an rgb component these days, with no non-rgb alternative, and the industry sees that people keep buying things with rgb in them, so they keep making things with rgb on them.

but also normalfag consumers see rgb as a status symbol and continue going out of their way to buy rgb everything.
