I think it's probably the best gacha game right now. Has the best gameplay, at least. Story is okay once you get past the first area.
It's still a gacha, of course, but they at least aren't impacting the actual gameplay to encourage you to roll for new characters. A lot of the boss fights are fun.
It takes forever to max out skills and levels, though, especially with Echoes. I really wish I was able to use garbage Echoes as XP

It's pretty, and I enjoy the level design a lot. It's a shame that the puzzles and such got dumbed down even further because people weren't able to solve them. Still, I think just walking/flying around and killing everything is fun.
I honestly believe Septimont is a better city than Leyndell...

Significantly more MC focused, if you're into that. 1.0 is generally considered garbage due to all of the exposition dumping, but it gets better from there.

wuwa is the most enjoyable gachaslop but it's still gachaslop. I would say play it like an episodic game that drops new content that lasts a handful of hours each month.

Not if you only bother with the story stuff since any story quests give you trial characters to use. Some side content also gives trial characters so you could try those too.

Not really. The only content you'd need teams of built characters for is the endgame and all that is, is timed boss fights and wave clearing modes. The onle reason to do those are for the pull currency, and you're only playing for the story, not to pull the newest limited character.
