pokemon odyssey romhack, a gba game that the homebrew mGBA emulator couldnt handle so instead i used the VC injector to just put the game directly onto my 3ds as a .cia file and it handles it just fine now. Highly reccomend this rom hack btw, its goated

They work fine for the bottom. Tempered up top is the way to go (also it can help you to avoid the bottom screen rubbing the top screen).

Bottom protectors are extra thin and plastic-y to avoid interrupting the pressure zones. But they do work. Just don't cheap out or it looks hazy.

Problem one is when cheap solder is used, or when the cart fails from being inserted too much (or handled poorly). Happens more in EU carts. Surface mount stuff moves around and we get bad connections. A simple reflow can fix this and in some cases the reflow can fix it FOREVER.

Problem two is why plugging a game in every year and letting it start and play for 5 minutes is useful. Only SOME games will fail from this issue. What games? No one has a complete list. The chips just need some juice here and there to keep the cells info intact.

Id play on mine if nearly every 3ds I have didn't have some problem with them.

Yes, Expert Score in Curtain Call is a very relaxed difficulty 99% of the time, and Basic Score is annoyingly slow (which can only be fixed somewhat in Final Bar Line via new QoL settings). Ultimate difficulty is all over the place, feeling quite satisfying more often than not. Enjoy the ride, anon!

I hadn't played in years but the itch has come back recently. Touch style just werks, I can't believe I used to prefer button style at first. My favorite track is probably Heart of Chaos (FFXIII-2) on Ultimate; my favorite Chaos Map rolled it to go with Chaos as the final boss, and the song collection leading up to him is also a banger.
I'm not even a rhythm game player outside of Theatrhythm FF. There's a Japanese-only Theatrhythm Dragon Quest which is quite similar to CC, but the music doesn't hold up. Project Mirai DX put me off.

TFF Final Bar Line definitely increases the difficulty by adding simultaneous inputs and a Lunatic difficulty for half of all songs, it feels quite different from Curtain Call, so I can appreciate them both as separate things. The price for DLC is outrageous and needs more Bravely Default.

The best part? Technically google has it wrong too. The interposer was 1 of 3 to 4 issues they had. Almost all of them due to the leadfree solder. The tok caps near the rsx were also leadfree and would crack, and traces would be pulled. All from bad solder and component placement.

For 360 the board would move a tiny bit from the leadfree solder until the joints cracked. The small board near the power phase would fail too from the stress of higher resistances from the solder cracking. Both consoles heat never even gets close to high enough to cause issues, just weak solder raising resistances. PS3 gets close to the 85c temp but only early units that have not been repasted.

Just grab a replacement and install. They are not really "upgrades", just replacements. It is tricky. Get a spudger and spudge all the way around and the back after removing the screws. Watch for the direction of the volume slider when it comes out, and be careful for the ribbons for specific buttons.

I have a DS Lite, DSi, 3DS, and New 3DS XL (IPS top screen), and I've used an original DS.
When playing DS games, I can say without a doubt that DSi > DS Lite > 3DS > DS, and I might place the New 3DS XL around the same level as the DSi, I haven't compared in a while.
