This is also one of the most common ways large entities try to circumvent bankruptcy. It should be noted however that said entities usually plan this years or maybe even a decade in advance and go through incredible lengths to not be "discovered" and I assure you, not a single one publicly announces their illegal activity like this. That's not going to achieve anything. All a director is is someone that has been empowered by the public officer to run the company. The director is technically just an employee too. They just happen to have some legal obligations as a result of that position. And liabilities. It's also his wife.
