I understand completely. I've enjoyed a few recent titles that were inspired by the greats, but they fall short while also leaning into the action aspect. Alisa and Tormented Souls come to mind. I stand by Obscure being a good title, but I should warn you that it is more action oriented than RE 1-3 and SH 1-2. It's similar to RE4 in that regard, but not the boulder punching extremes that RE5 and onwards brought to the table. It does enough to stand apart from those titles though, has its' own gimmicks.
