In Chapters 3-4, there’s a strong focus on the protagonist (Kris) asserting independence from us and possessing more knowledge and skills than they let us know. The battle with the Knight is a great example of how they try to mess with us.

Kris also antagonizes us even in the normal route, not to mention the weird route. I think this will be a significant part of the narrative moving forward. Not necessarily in a negative way, like it was with Noelle, but it will be there.

Omori is a Mulholland Drive ripoff, while Deltarune is a Twin Peaks "ripoff" (with lower amount of similarities).
They don't really have a lot in common, besides the fact that Earthbound is one of the many inspirations for both games. And it's far from the main source of inspiration for both of them as well.
