Overall a really good update. The terraria content is overall very minor (though the Terraprisma is insanely good), but they're finally starting to flesh out the world. Pals now show up in towns, NPCs are still pretty basic but random faction bases are in and there's a reason to talk to people, even if it largely amounts to boring progression quests.
There's more base options, bit by bit, but I still feel they need to put a few more passes on bases. They still feel like they're held back by mechanics from launch like low sizes and small storage options, relative to how much feature creep is now making them cramped.

This restores the classic way of summoning Pals, which was more intuitive and useful for assigning the ones in your party to do actions.

Honestly, the glider rehaul is better how it is now IMO. I don't have to commit a whole team slot exclusively for a Glider Pal.

Some nice quality updates, I've noticed quite a few fixes. The trust system is an excellent addition and makes weaker pals more usable. Aside from all the new content, one of my favorite parts is something I've been waiting for, pals working in bases seems finally fixed, they don't tend to get randomly stuck or wander away from their work other than to eat/rest. The world seems more lived in, better looking towns and with more NPCs and missions to do. Go check out Small Settlement if you haven't since the update, it's a great example. Anyway there's a lot I will continue to explore in the game. Because I don't like looking stuff up I haven't found the terraria dungeon yet.

Expeditions are good but only once you start getting fully built teams. My expos currently take about 6 minutes to run and will spit out...a little bit of everything, or a lot of pal souls if I run the genetic laboratory. It's fine but a lot of tedium to run constantly. Hopefully they let us queue 10 expeditions back to back in a later patch, like how you can queue fishing.

You still can't get perfect pals. You can overwrite bad passives or empty slots with mid tier passives, although you can't completely delete a passive and replace it with nothing (the slot still needs to be filled).
You won't get things like Legend, Musclehead, Demon God, etc. But you can still trim away the worst passives and you can put things like Nocturnal or Philanthropist on to anything to speed up breeding, very useful if you want to spam breed to get max condensed pals.

The potential is there, but the chips need to be released first. Currently it is possible to get the musclehead and serenity chip via buying from the arena merchant and bounty hunter merchant. You'll still need to breed for the shiny traits like swift and demon godz but at the very least, bad traits or missing ones can be overwritten

Essentially
Breeding is still important for some of the very best traits, like Legend
But it means that getting a "good enough" breed result is now basically as good, since you can attach decent traits, and overwrite bad ones. This is the difference between needing to get 2/3 traits, and a perfect roll of 4, which if you've done breeding, you know how nice that is.
The troon table also helps a bit, if you get a perfect breeding pair, but are of the same sex.
Honestly though, fixing IVs is now probably the harder part, so breeding for IVs is likely more important.

Chillet is more like the Lucario or Charizard. It gained some early fan attachment, and became a shillmon afterwards.
Originally, Chillet didn't really have anything of particular note about it, besides being the first boss pal a new player is likely to beat, just due to level and proximity.

Depresso didn't have anything going for it at the start, but became a favorite in the animations and stuff just 'cuz people like it.

I think the only artificial boosting really go to Relaxaurus (makes sense) Lovander (I guess pushes the edge of palworld a bit), and then Lamball, Cattiva, and Chickipi, which are just the early game guys everyone recognizes, they kinda fill the marketing niche the starters do.

Pretty much all rideable water types are swim types (I think Suzaku Aqua and Relaxaurus are not, probably at least one more exception I can't think of), but Chillet is an example of a swim-type that isn't. I don't think it was a swim-type before, though.

Normally, this is correct, nocturnal doesn't really help that much.
Electricity specifically is a bit of a different case, though, because the main issue is losing power overnight at oil bases.
Dispersing the overall non-work the pal does throughout the day is better, because you won't lose charge overnight

Talk to NPCs. They usually give you stuff or some have quests that give you extra things to do. Don't worry too much about early base placement as you'll be able to put multiple bases down later on. And yeah, work towards being able to clear the oil rigs and boss dungeons quickly, legendary schematics that are useful are hard to find, i wound up doing double spawns of all Pals for fun, it made farming the legendary rocket launcher blueprints from the Jetragon bosses loads of fun, they're actually quite hard to fight as a duo.

Chillet has always been pretty good because it's moderately strong, a good mount for traversal, and turning your attacks to Dragon element is great when half the monsters in the game are Dark.
Jetragon is still the best flying mount and it's your choice whether you go pure speed, or swap out some of the speed in exchange for stamina and serenity (makes it much better at using its speed to farm things).

My first chillet was swift, stamina, musclehead, and some other attack passive. This was before they added better passives but it still worked great for an exploration pal.
I made a new chillet with the standard Demon God/Serenity/Musclehead/Legend kit, Legend still gives it a bit of movespeed but now it's capable of endgame areas like the oil rig and tower bosses. Also with the addition of Trust, Chillets get even better since they're "beginner" pals.

It's a bit hard to say, since Trust may have shaken up what's good, and I haven't tinkered with all the new guys yet, but, generally.
Jetragon: Best for speedy transport, and the rocket pods are a great way to buy time for cooldowns/recovery for other pals. Mediocre among endgame pals for actual combat, but, not like it's bad or anything.
Knocklem: Biggest, fattest statbrick you can throw out with his active ability. He FUCKS.
Frostalion Noct: Highest BST before the update, no idea if it still is. Very good all rounder pal, good mount, good alternative to Jetragon.
Felbat/Lovander: Lifesteal on legs. Lifesteal is great for anyone, but moreso if you're Gobfin maxxing
Univolt: If you're Gobfin-maxxing, Univolt is probably THE best combat mount, give it water skills to apply Soaked, then all your dakka does twice as much. Meh otherwise.
Orserk: Doesn't hold up super well, is merely "fine" among other late game pals, but is stupidly easy to breed, has really high attack, and can carry your sorry ass to endgame content, while being available midgame
Anubis: Even easier to breed than Orserk, literally just Relaxaurus + Celeray, for endgame stats. Also pretty much the only truly viable platform for a melee pal, and melee pals fuck with targeting and spacing well. Also probably the best work pal, it can mine all your shit, is fast as shit, so transports well, and can build well, too.
Chillet: Bit of a hot take, and I need more time to be sure, but between already being a pretty good niche pick despite relatively bad stats before Trust, depending on what exactly it gets out of Trust, Chillet may legitimately be a contender for endgame viability.
Either Jormuntide: Kinda midling stats for endgame guys, but they're fucking enormous, especially the boss versions, and can be handy for weird mounting jank. Vanilla Jorm is also PROBABLY the best swimmer for combat. Maybe. I haven't experimented much.

Probably not meta picks, but ones I'd point out all the same

Quivern/Botan: I really, really like it as a mount. It has physics that I gel with, and the big body is probably the best in the game at preventing damage from reaching you, specifically. Botan is a bit better, getting Stab on Seed Mine and, fukkin, Leaf Tornado or whatever is cool. Probably just a personal preference, but, figured I'd mention it.
Killamari: Easy to get en masse, and decent filler pals in bases to transport stuff. They fukkin zoom, and plink away at fat stacks all night. Anubis is probably better long term, but Killamari is available within like 30 minutes of a raw file.
Ragnahawk: Unless I've fucked up, and mixed this up with Beacon, and unless there's a new update guy I've not noticed, Ragnahawk is still the only Pal that is a flying mount, but also small enough to go through dungeon doorways. Ragnahawk is the champ of speedrunning dungeons to get the goodies out. Make sure you don't breed a boss size one. Also, as a fire flier, it's safe to fly over lava, for more niche usefulness.
Reptyro: Niether variant holds up especially well, but these are really good for breaching into endgame content. They're really tanky, and between them have good defensive matchups against the legendaries, so are a nice, easy to get Pal to just throw out and soak aggro and damage for a bit while your other guys recover and get their cooldowns.
Sweepa/Swee: A bit overrated, but buffing a Sweepa IS a really early power spike that can let you punch right through the midgame. Holds up like milk, though, unless Trust breaks it, and the Swee are kinda dead weight.
Lyleen: Health on legs. Can be a really handy slot filler if you have nothing better in mind. Sometimes that health really helps.

A lot of the new changes in these updates were made with early and mid game in mind (just remember to transfer your favorite pals over in the global pal storage box so that you can access it for you new save if you want.) Key items. They are unlocks. They really need to make every vendor have a different set

Astegon: Probably the best field miner in the game. Mammorest is available earlier, so might be better, but either can annihilate entire area's worth of stone, lumber, and minerals in a couple seconds, if you need to throw up structures, or quickly collect a particular resource for whatever reason.
Penking: A fukkin champ of base work, especially for a mining base. A Penking or two can carry an entire base on their back, more or less. Damud is his shittier, but earlier cousin.
Elizabee: Similar to, completely different from, and best friends with Penking. A bit worse, but between them, you have functioning wood, stone/paldium, ore, and a completely functional farm done. If you just want a base to fukkin work, these two are good at it. There's more elegant solutions, but Penking and Elizabee are easy solutions.
Bushi: Third good shotgun work pal. Most notable for being a fire pal that does a bunch of shit, which is kinda rare
Fenglope: Best ground mobility pal. Kinda niche, flying is USUALLY just better, but Fenglope fukkin zooms, and can probably jump farther than Nitewing can fly in a single stamina bar. Comes in handy on the island with the fukkin missile silos if nothing else.
Suzuku: Rival flier to Jetragon. Worse speed than Jetragon, but better than damn near anything else, and WAY better stamina. If you need a flier you can shoot from, or don't have/want Jetragon, either Suzuku works. The spicy one can fly over lava, so probably niche better, but, that doesn't really matter
Cattiva: The carry weight buff isn't much in the long run, but we're not talking about the long run. Breeding is significantly easier, they added a operating table mechanic that allows you to swap certain passives via chip implants, or change the sex of your pals to make it more bearable. Granted, they also introduced a new tier of legendary passives ( which are significantly rarer to find, and as far as I can recall, can't be accessed or unlocked through said mechanic, so you will still have to breed those traits onto the pals of your choice. Only gold-tier passives and below can be surgically implanted or removed.

They've also added a passive that boosts breeding speed (philanthropist) and a new pal that boost the breeding speeds on your base (braloha.)

I'd also chime in to say Wixen is a generally good early base work pal, they appear at level 20-ish in the Scars of War area on the east side of the map (just southwest of the desert island)
It's got cooking, handiwork and transport skill so you can have them freely switch between manning the furnaces/ovens, working on the benches, and transporting/building
Katress is (sadly) the worse version of Wixen with regards to base work, but it's still worth grabbing the boss Katress as a medicine maker for your elixirs and recovery meds

I think it's fun, can definitely be very annoying in some aspects though, like the dungeon bosses are randomized so you can get level 50+ bosses in a level 13 dungeon meaning I have to abandon it. There are different randomizer settings too, so if you don't like having really high level pals show up at the start you can set it to unrandomize their levels which will make all the pals that spawn be level-appropriate for the area.

Takes getting used to and is technically not a fast ground mount, but 3-4 staring condense basically gets rid of grapple cooldown and she has double jump. With Stamina alone and even without move speed passives, you can basically swing around to most surfaces with enough practice. Get used to not firing your gun though.

6.Open up the UniPalUI compress file, open up the STEAM folder, and drop the LogicMods into the folder
7.Open up the Project Sugar Cake compress file, open up the STEAM folder, and drop the Logicmods and ~mods folder into the Paks Folder
8.Drop in any animation or model pack. Be sure to read their readme/instruction where to drop them
9.Go to the Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods\AnimJSON and double click __Create_Load_List__ batch file
10.Log into your game and check if its activiated
11.Bring in the Pals you wanna with into your party/summon them somewhere that they wont run off
12.Now lets get familar with the UIpalui

So how useful is she when it comes to high cliffs? even jetragon without the stamina passive cant get over the faybreak mountains without stopping once so that would be my personal comparison.

She was built for Feybreak. If you have the stamina, she can basically scale most of those high cliffs if you're good at releasing the web at the right momentum. Takes a bit getting used to, but she made travelling the island without a flying mount pretty fun

Nah they did a lot to improve that. If pals get stuck too long, they teleport back to the palbox. if they can't reach a station they start working in place, big pals got the same collision as small ones now so no need to make giant doors.

with the monitoring stand you can now also assign pals to a specific station, or you can forbid them certain jobs
