LTTP is less about combat and more primarily on puzzles in dungeons (for the most part)

I found the combat in LttP to be utter shit - the first time you fight ganon, there's nothing but combat to reach him but most of the dungeons are less about fighting and more puzzles
OoT always seemed the opposite to me and the combat was better solely on the fact that Link has a fucking shield and doesn't have the world's shittiest hitbox for his sword

I may have gotten filtered by the tower climb when I was like 6 years old and am still salty to this day

I remember trying to replay both games recently, with LTTP I think I got to the Dark World in 1 sitting and then finished the rest of it later, where as OOT I remember getting so god damn bored due to the slow pace in the first hour that I wanted to just shut it off. I think when I was a kid it was magical, but nowadays it just feels like a chore.

Same shit happened when Pokemon Sun/Moon came out. Loved Blue, played it to death, same with Yellow, then havent touched another pokemon game until Moon. It was literally a fucking 5 hour tutorial before I decided to just call it there. Nintendo shit is really either for kids or for people who haven't played anything else but Nintendo first party games.

OoT is pretty braindead and the whole "3D games were still new" thing is something only dumb tendies say because anyone who actually played games was very much used to 3D games by late 1998. That excuse stopped working in 1994 when 3D games were actually still new. But anyone who played on PC, at arcades or on other consoles wasn't wowed by games simply being in 3D, nor did they forgive overly simplistic design.

it innovated virtually all 3d camera, puzzle and action that is still used to this day. z targeting alone is in everything. context sensitive button presses (a for ladder, a for jump, a to talk, a to roll, etc) to simplify controls and make fit everything on a controller when paradigm was one action per button is used in everything. entire fucking horse riding and fishing games are built off what oot had for minigames in 3d games. this is like saying goldeneye isnt very good when it invented fucking head shots and other context sensitive animations/dmg areas (nut shots, shooting guns out of hands, less dmg for hand shot vs body vs head, etc). fps dont even have these features today. cod still has random barrel roll back flips if a nuke goes off or you are burning or grenaded. its a joke how bad games are today when goldeneye revolutionized everything decades ago. even difficulty affecting game play, level size, enemy pathing, etc without being bullet sponges. you could still headshot and were rewarded for using suppressed ammo wisely. your ignorance and stupidity offends me.
