I will gladly skip every boss fight in every video game. They are never fun. They are stupid puzzles with 1-shot mechanics, or they are simply long healthbars that take a bunch of repeated patterns to beat.

Boss battles are garbage roadblocks to bring games to a screeching halt. The 90% of the rest of every game is the actual fun part.
Let's not forget that no status effects work on bosses. It's a complete miracle for a game to allow you to poison a boss. Heaven forbid your abilities work on a boss. Games seriously need a tag for this. "Abilities work on bosses" or some sort of tag would be revolutionary and embarrassing for 99% of developers.
