There's barely any cutscenes and they mostly come from dialogue where you choose what to say - even then, they're not cutscenes, they make up under 5% of the game and it's mostly just you (if you choose to) talking to people. I could sneak around, which you can do with very low skill anyway, shoot smartlink guns, melee with monowire and had the highest hacking attacks or whatever they were called, all on one character. About the only thing that character couldn't do was two-handed hammer tank shit, so I don't see a lot of replayable build variety here. Ronin's problem is the combat system is not that good. The comparison to W3 is on the table, and the fact is Ronin's combat is not that much better. I think one underlooked thing in ROTR is gameplay with 3 party members. I want to see some cuhrazy gameplay showcase of a guy doing cool combos using the character swapping and doing something creative with it like helping yourself airjuggle a foe using the revolver or something. Especially if they use any of the characters with custom movesets, like Earnest's rocketboots and how it gives him a unique dodge in the form of rocketboosting around or the giga monk's unarmed gameplay.

The parry mechanics are very different between these games. What surprised me is that I liked parry more in WoLong compared to Ronin. In Ronin you have a whole separate button dedicated to parry, in WoLong parry is tied to dashing. At the time of playing I didn't like how I would waver between the seemingly underpowered blocking and dashing/parrying in WoLong, but having played Ronin I now remember WoLong's system more fondly.

Five elements make enemy stagger when applied. When you inflict 1 element effect, enemy will have their resistance to another element decreased. This is called "generative and destructive". You can stunlock enemy by applying 5 elements in order.

Like the other anon said, the parry system is different.
In Wo Long, your parry is very fast and spammable. I think the window is generally larger than most of Ronins too. Obviously counterspark in ronin has a lot more risk. This makes it seem really strong but here's the secret that too many people don't know about wo long

The game does not want you to parry everything. In Wo long, the benefit of parry is that it fills your spirit gauge, which is a pseudo-stamina bar that is required for martial arts and spells. In Wo long, you can parry parry parry all day but once your spirit bar is maxed out there is no big advantage to parrying non-red attacks. Parrying non-red attacks doesn't even deal damage to their posture, it only removes a bit of the max posture they can regen. The game wants you to fill your spirit then use your spirit to deal greater damage to their posture and spells can also deal elemental damage. It's awesome. There are also some weapons that interact with parries in interesting ways, for example heavy weapons like axe have parry frames on the startup of attacks allowing you to essentially power through attacks. I think dual swords and some other types have "blue parries" which have a tighter window but give you a lot more spirit.

Also Gan Ning (DLC) is easily in the top 5 Team Ninja bosses, he's reminiscent of the hayabusa bosses in Nioh but with a completely original moveset and it's fucking awesome.

it sucked in Batman and sucked in this game, I will never understand why devs stick these in their games besides as padding, it breaks up the rythm of a mission and once you do one you've done them all. If they insist on having track/detective sense shit at least make it interesting either by varying the gameplay around it or doing it in interesting settings, even GTA V does it better and they've been recycling mission structure for 4 games now.
