>Dragon's Dogma 2 died for Monster Hunter Milds
>All so that Monster Hunter Milds would anyway and be one of the lowest rated games
unfortunately the smug cunt above me is correct, dragon's dogma 2 was doomed the instant it was made to use the RE engine. i imagine itsuno KNEW this too because he left capcom almost instantly after DD2 released
>>713776575 (OP)It's a mystery to me how any person with a working brain could buy either DD2 or MH Wilds after testing them. Both are an insult to their IP.
>>713776634What were these morons thinking.
The engine shat itself over the fly sisters in Village, and using the sniper scope in 4make. It can barely handle a linear game when something as stressful as extra particles or rendering a tiny linear map twice.
>>713776575 (OP)Looking back, this shit was maximum cringe.

Fucking kek, what a disaster

>>713776575 (OP)seems like capcom just ain't it anymore.
they killed dd, mh, sf, re...
>>713779347>worked fine in DD2lol
lmao even

>>713776575 (OP)remember when /v/ voted DD2 as most anticipated game two years in a row
Monster hunter wilds' performance is inexcuseable. Shit like helldivers 2 has way more enemies, textures, particles, explosions and bullets being calculated at any time and it runs a dozen times better on the same machine. Whatever the fuck they did with wilds is embarrasing.
>>713779939yep, looked great too, wonder why they had so many issues with MH6
>>713780281Taking bribes from Nvidia and Larry Fink.
>>713779950Actually it looks like denuvo got this game over 10 million sales since everybody wants it but nobody could steal it.
>>713780425This game had launch Cyberpunk level performance issues that still exist to this day because it killed the franchise and Capcom had to shut it down and fire the guy who forced it into existence.
if he wasnt a shit dev we will get 10/10s out of lightspeed
>>713780656Actually it didn't, it had one very specific issue with it's NPC coding that only caused issues in the main city.
>>713779347>>713780921the performance controversy was just as bad as Wilds, what are you smoking anon? it looked much better at least
>>713782956It was literally only the NPCs causing an issue and it only showed up in the main city. It was completely and utterly blown out of proportion for clickbait and the fact that you don't even know this shows how horrid the situation was.
>>713783910i bought it on release, yeah the NPC's were the worst part but the entire game was way too CPU and should've ran way better than it did
>>713784064I'd argue that's the case for every game that has released in the past few years, but yeah it should've. The performance was hardly the issue, game was too fucking easy and gutted vocation kits even more, no layered armor either. Cherry on top is the casual mode patch for an already easiest game of the year contender, like it feels they are fucking with us lmao.
>>713783021Is that the nepobaby of a CEO who stole Itsuno's ideas and made MH?
>>713784497yeah fuck Capcom, they could easily salvage it and turn it into a great game with an expansion but they can't be bothered
>>713776634Why couldn't they just use the engine for DDO? devs were already experienced with it.
>30 fps
>All monsters are shit
>PS3 graphics
>Retarded interface
>Every low rank monster dies in 2 hits
>Unskippable walking segments
>No endgame
>No Elder Dragons
>Underwater combat
>Less monsters than MH2 and 4
>No challenge
>No MH language
Is this the worst game of all time?
>>713780590>Actually it looks like denuvo got this game over 10 million sales since everybody wants it but nobody could steal it.Only 10M?

>>713784940At least you arenโt seething about the existence of LS anymore
>>713776575 (OP)Why is the post-launch support for Wilds so abysmal? Are they putting all their effort in the new Resident Evil or something?
>>713776575 (OP)DD2 died because Itsuno is a retarded useless fuck

Too much forced hype for such a mid series
>>713787398>>713787159Funny how people thought that DD2 was being used as a sacrificial lamb for Wilds then Wilds ended up being a shitshow that might get shelved faster than even Rise. What will be the excuse next when RE9 also ends up being shit?
>>713788852>might get shelved faster than even Rise.Rise lasted like 3-4 years between updates and Sunbreak wrf are you on?
>>713776575 (OP)How come nobody uses the console ratings to shitpost.

>>713779347>literally, and I mean LITERALLY, empty landscape you can gen in minecraft
>>713782956>it performed badly on low end hardwareI was running it perfectly fine. Odd how it works.
>>713789143LP2 is a happy accident, a game too based for modern Crapcom
So why does Wilds suffer from open world and look so shit while DD2 looks pretty nice despite both being on the same engine?
>>713776575 (OP)I couldn't have made my DD1 pawn in 2, so I chose to not buy the game for that reason alone.

>make hits for Capcom for 20 years>want to make your magnum opus but it's too similar to the company's nepobaby's idea so yours gets released years later>given another shot at your magnum opus after delivering another massive hit DMCV>Capcom has nothing to release this quarter so they cut DD2 off to give more time to MHWildsI can understand favoring family, but this is a business and workers who built the success of your company are going feel rightfully underappreciated.
>>713793848>but it's too similar to the company's nepobaby's ideaPretty sure the nepobaby stole Itsuno's idea from the very beginning and then fucked him over at every opportunity since then. The fact that Itsuno kept working with that retarded company shows how much of a masochist he was to bend over like that for decades.
>Dragons Dogma 2, according to /v/ the biggest failure Capcom ever made and made by the biggest hack
>20% off after 3 months
>Monster Hunter Wilds, literally, unironically the most successful entry of THE flagship franchise of Capcom and beloved by /v/ and created by a maestro
>20% off after 3 months
>>713794091Seems pretty typical amongst Japanese developers, they will never directly accuse past employers of anything.
TGS is the last stop, end of the line. If it's not there, it's not happening.
Some people will cope and say the 2 year point is end of the line and bring up Elden Ring DLC releasing over 2 years later... but they leave out the part were ER sold over 20 million copies in its first yeat while DD2 took over a year just to reach a low 3.7 million. ER DLC took time because they knew they had a massive player base to tap into, and it was also a massive "DLC" with more content than DD2 despite being half the price.
Capcom went from goated to dogshit
At this point i'd rather fromsoft made the next monster hunter
>one update every 3 months
>endgame will only be in a decent shape after TU4, so a year after release
What the fuck were they thinking
Itsuno bought the Deep Down IP and the phanta rey engine from capcom
trust the cope
Wilds performance issues are much, much worse than DD2. DD2 dipped to the 40s in the main city on my 3700X and 2080S and was fine outside of it but Wilds struggles to maintain 60 on my 9800X3D and 7900XTX. Tried it with a 5080 in the machine and it was no better on that either.
>>713777118works on my machine (base ps5)
>>713782956I never had issues running DD2
I never had issues running Wilds
literally works flawlessly on my machine.
both games are a blast, btw. too bad you wonโt get a chance to play them at least for another half decade.
>>713797140The games are not worth the price of admission to play them honestly.
>>713797439damn, what an absolute abysmally shit opinion. canโt even imagine what turds you enjoying playing. donโt bother telling for I donโt care what a shit eating faggot like you consumes.
>>713797439yeah DD2 ran fine for me, but it objectively wasn't worth $70. It has about $40 worth of content at best. Certainly far less content than what cheaper RPGs like elden ring and baldurs gate offered for $60.
Wilds is the same, released with fuck all content, but at least it's going to get free updates to beef up the base game while DD2 was seemingly abandoned.
>>713797140No CPU/GPU on the planet can run Wilds at a consistent 4K/60 without upscaling.
>>713797601I dont even need to discuss this, I know you know DD2 was dissapointing and was not worth the increased retail cost and having a hyper modern PC to play it normally. Wilds is a game in its infancy, it will be worth it in another year or two, but DD2 is a game even the developers have moved on from a year after it came out, youre not convincing anyone that you think it was worth it.
>>713797439This, no modern vidya is worth full price and anything above 50 eurodollars is a ripoff.
I'm going to buy Dragon's Dogma 2 now that it's on sale. I hope my computer can take it.
>>713798451What CPU? That's all that matters. It's incredibly CPU bound when multiple NPCs are around but only becomes an issue in the two large cities where you're (usually) not in combat
>>713798440. Runs fine in the open world.
>>713776737I imagine the nightmare that was making the entire game from zero on that thing. But yeah, i'm pretty sure Itsuno said goobye and ran through the door as soon as he could. He's an amazing dude for being able to deliver so much good games while being constant shat on by Capcom. The Inafune spirit still haunt that fucking place, i swear to God.
>>713798743intel i7 6700k @ 4.00GHz
Why do people hate DD2? If you liked the original game, you would surely want to play more of the same.
>>713799401people latching on to the bad frame rate and launch issues like a baby blanket, those have been fixed.
>>713799401games are supposed to get better after a decade and fix the weak points, but in the end DD2 gave us the same 5 enemies spammed every 20 meters and said "that's all you're fucking getting, that'll be $70+tip thx"
>>713798451Get ready for modern gayming of compiling the shaders for 30 minutes.

>>713799401>want more>get lessThank you modern devs
Wolves...they...they do something, bros..
I-I cant remember what it is. Someone throw me a bone here!
>>713776575 (OP)Their old PSP looking games were popular for a decade. Why don't they stick with what they know instead aiming at UE5 ass looking graphics.
>>713780281I mean Hell divers 2 is kinda known for being less than optimized too, so it goes to show how bad wilds fucked up.
>>713782956I don't remember fighting literal polygons in DD2 thougheverbeit.
>>713798775No, I just fat fingered the post number right beside the post button while phoneposting.
>>713776634This.
It aint made for open world
What a waste of a perfectly good sticky.
>>713777086As expected from anyone who didn't know Shitsuno was a complete hack by the time of Dragon's Dogshit 2 getting announced.
Wilds isn't a bad game if they just added more content and fixed the performance.
>>713789608>DD2 looks pretty niceIt doesn't
You niggers have no standards
The game is ok.
Could have been a lot better.
DLC never ever.
