I would never use a console for internet computing things and whatnot

but games? is there a reason for keeping a gaming computer?

it is obvious you cant ditch a computer because it is required for many things of internet nature but games may no longer be part of the equation

The problem with console games is that they forgot what made them actually fun. PC will always be objectively more powerful and capable. Yet console games used to have the advantage of split screen couch gaming. Sure a PC could run the best graphics, but playing a shooter with your friends together was special.

Don't really exist anymore and that's fine. Consoles nowadays exist so you can postpone upgrading your pc for a few years for the cost of 1/2 a gpu to actively save money by skipping shitty generations.

Consoles made sense back when they were the affordable option. Today it's much easier to build a solid gaming PC on a modest budget, so consoles are pointless.
