I genuinely can’t get over how fucking bad this screen looks or how countless “people” are apparently perfectly fine with blatant, literally undeniable false advertising. The screen is not HDR. It’s a subpar LCD with worse persistence than the 2017 Switch, which also effectively renders 120hz mode useless while portable since there’s no perceptible difference in visual clarity. It is truly a garbage fucking display and I am literally seething with anger to have to share a world with slop eating cattle who see nothing wrong with it.

THIS IS A DEVICE THAT WAS ACTIVELY SOLD AND MARKETED FOR THE QUALITY OF ITS SCREEN AND IT LOOKS LIKE HORSESHIT, MEASURABLY INFERIOR IN SOME RESPECTS EVEN TO THE ORIGINAL SWITCH. And yes, I own one so don’t fucking accuse me of being a Snoy.

I don't really expect an hdr display? I just expect it to have HDR through the tv. I don't see how that's a big sin. The response time on the panel however is a joke. They aren't selling nintendium baby handhelds anymore so it's just not acceptable.

The best guess is they aren't using any kind of overdrive on the screen even though almost every monitor has some level of it applied by default. Nothing uses 120hz on the switch 2 except one of the minigames in the 15 dollar demo, even the menu is 60hz

Hey tendies, non-tendie here but I can explain the crappy screen in a way that isn't just Nintendo being cheap. They're trying to keep battery life up despite the SoC needing more power, so they're using a power efficient screen with very power-efficient settings.
