It would be nice if AMD would actually fucking try. AMD GPU shills are basically nintendofags now, they'll lap up any shitty subpar product they get.

Hardware and GPUs are tangentially related to video games. Do you think we should also ban threads about consoles?

no cuda, no ai, no rt. it was obsolete on release.
only fools bought amd. hence why nvidia gpu share rose above 90% and amd fell to record low.

>They like FSR4.
You can hack FSR4 onto a 7900XTX, but it performs terribly. AMD is working on FSR3.5 or porting FSR4 to 7000 series.

Anyone who didnt buy a 6800xt was a moron and will have to wait for 10+ years before upgrading

Thats how dogshit current gen GPUs are. Thats what you idiots get for paying $1500 for a cut die DLSS upscaler. Last gen GPUs out perform current gen counterparts because they cut down dies and reduced raster performance.

>Interesting how DLSS went from being an add-on feature to help older 2060s/2070s punch above their weight class
DLSS was never ever this. DLSS was originally built as an antialiasing solution and then advertised as a way to help xx80/xx90 cards still have playable frames when activating raytracing at 4k.
This "DLSS actually exists to help my prehistoric card stay relevant for a year or two longer" thing is made up, co-opted by poorfags who love to misuse tech just like with most technology.

Said hack in action. Low compatibility, but that's rapid progress considering just about a week ago, it was full of graphical glitches. FSR 4.0.1 is half the performance of FSR 4.0.0, though. I'm not going to pretend I know why.

Depends on the game, on your resolution, and on which DLSS/FSR version you're using. It's not a "just turn it on and forget about it" solution yet.

They were because their FSR version is dogshit, or they're stuck using TAA which is also dogshit. FSR4 takes a bit more tinkering to get it working right but when you get it working right, it's got much better IQ than what RDNA3 gets you.

Isnt it that they can emulate fsr4.0 on 7xxx but it runs like shit and glitches because, just like nvidia, uses hardware to do it?
Which is pretty funny because the last decade its all been
>lol you dont need hardware for upscaling amd showed them
>well yeah ok, its a bit shit but you dont need it, they'l fix it with fsr 3
>well yeah, fsr 3 is still fucking shit but at least I'm not getting scammed by nvidia
>Fsr4 is here and it looks a lot better because it used new hardware so we cant use it in old hardware lmao

They probably aren't. All they've said is they'll look into it but that's corpo speak for "I can't say no otherwise no one will buy the stock that still exists in retail"

Considering that the GPU market it's absolutely shit regarding improvements from one gen to another, making a upgrade from 4060 to 5080 next month will probably buy a lot of time for me, though 16GB VRAM absolutely sucks since GayTracing devours VRAM.
