The dev wanted to add some kind of proactive aggression mechanics when the game wasn't built around it. Probably to try to use sadism when the game is mostly masochism. I guess he didn't like that sadism was only a trap that led down the corruption train instead of serving any practical purpose. But then had a meltdown over it being a logistic spaghetti mess that was met with extremely poor reception. You would probably have to overhaul the entire game to accommodate for it.

I feel like a below 10% number of games capture corruption in a satisfying way. More often than not it just seems like there's no exploring the area between light petting and full-on cock addict behavior. I actually just finished that the other day. I wish a professional editor would take a chainsaw to the script and cut down the dialogue by a good 20-30%. Other than that, the ending was actually quite satisfying. The author does a great job of sticking to the premise of the game.

The actual game part is over-tuned. Probably from years of having only patron feedback and dev self-testing where they know all the fights inside and out.
