Just did Hina's bond story up to where you have to romance her to progress it. What a surprising ending!

So far, Ulalaka is the only one who's bond story is explicitly romantic before you romance her. Everyone else, male and female, treats you like a friend, Ulalaka is the only one who's unambiguously in love with you.

My assumption was that was the game leaning into how Ulalaka clearly has a far bigger role in the story and connection to your character than the other Gods, making her the default love interest.

But then, right at the end of her questline, Hina confesses her love too! (Although your character doesn't pick up what she meant) So, I guess Pink Haired girls are just a little more romantically inclined than everyone else.

GoA has been a very comfy and entertaining experience. Despite its valid criticisms, I haven't enjoyed gaming like this for a while now. Nothing feels like a chore, just fun and easy-going. Just married Ulalaka, that was a really, really nice wedding ceremony. I think that's easily the most high-effort wedding scene I've seen for any game that let's you get married like this.

Yeah, the characters are extremely expressive and the models are great, but sometimes it's hard to follow what's going on because it snaps between scenes without any transition. One second Ula is standing still, the next she's infront of me and my character has spun around.

The plot has a few things like that too, like when you get married Iroha mentions how she originally wasn't even sure Ula was a Goddess, and Ula talks about how she wouldn't have been able to get where she was without Iroha's support. And I don't remember any of that in the story lol

Very early in the game, you discover that MC is a half-human that can transform between human and monster form. And soon after, you discover the non-human town in the desert outskirts. Eventually learning of the history of racial tensions and mistrust between the two communities. A narrative which becomes the backbone of the muh racism theme in this game. This isn't even a case of "trust me bro, the story gets really going after 10 hours!" stuff. This is all stuff you learn very early in the game. Like, literally in the first week of game unless you really just spend your time doing nothing.

In fact, the story in 3 unveils itself and gets going much faster than 4 so I'm really inclined to think that you're just twiddling your thumbs doing fuckall if you're complaining that 3 has no story.

The size of the fish shadow also determines which kind you can get, right? I'm looking for the Flounder and I at least assume it's not the big shadow, but is it the small or medium one?
