One subtle characterization bit for Amber I like is that during fishing festivals, she's in a more noticeably damp mood than usual. If you remember, Amber fucking hates fish. Live and raw ones especially. So naturally, a whole fucking day dedicated to the bane of her existence is a bad day for her.
But even so, she soldiers on throughout the whole day, not wanting to act like a wet blanket and ruin everyone's fun because she's such a sweetheart. Still funny that she has that blank and dead inside expression for most of her dialogue in that day though.

If they're doing the protagonists exists at the same time meme for RF6 again, I really hope they have a more innately platonic/bros/rivals relationship instead of the whole unresolved childhood romance hangups thing. Like, it'd be nice and sweet if their relationship blossoms into romance, but the more default status of their relationship is just cool bros or rivals with each other so you won't feel bad if they pursue others.
