TLDR: 6.5/10 quite mid DLC, Solomon is boring, companion pets are okay, reactivity leaves much to be desired, new bosses are fun, Overseer is fun

Okay so I made it all the way to Act 5 with Solomon. Played everything Lex Imperialis had to offer, and I have to say it was disappointing. Compared to Void Shadows quality, this new DLC is pretty weak. Solomon introduction was that interesting or shocking as Kibbles introduction, I wasn't very excited to meet the Adeptus Arbites companion at all.
Solomon’s personality is flat, boring even, and sorely lacks the nuance or inner conflict that made companions like Pasqal and Argenta stand out. His VA isn't that great either, he is just a generic white guy with a black paint job.
When compared to Kibbles he gets overshadowed greatly, "Domin".
His companion quest is equally underwhelming, offering few surprises and little in the way of emotional or thematic payoff. His reason to spy on you are simple "I was told to do so", again no personality. There is barely any reactivity from other companions on his quest and doesn't integrate very well with the main story. It was too short to or felt like that, since most of the time Solomon was gone doing who knows what and he just shows up later.
Despite all that, the new encounters were fun but not very challenging, I liked the first boss the most.
My thoughts on the Overseer class, It's fun but not viable in higher difficulties. This game is designed around rolling initiative first and nuking everyone on the screen before it gets a chance to act and do the same to you. Tanks are not useful at all, and the shield doesn't make them survive long either.
The Coomrag torture for Solomon was fine tho.

I know about devouring, it says it restores health but nothing about it restoring AP/MP or getting bumped higher on the initiative order.
My strategy was to use Idira's exploits to reduce his armor and then once the armor is down to like 20-30% in a certain turn I'd use Argenta's ultimate to multi attack the spawn as much as possible but I didn't even get two turns in.

Navigators CAN and DO have children with regular humans constantly, including in both fluff and novels. It's a massive plot point in the Night Lords series when a serf has a child with the ship's Navigator, for instance.

And those children are ALWAYS regular humans.

It's true that in the golden age of humanity many xenos allies did betray humanity when A.I. revolted. Humanity basically had to fight the men of iron and xenos as well as the psykers who were popping up for largely the first time and opening warp rifts on planets letting daemons in inadvertently. Xenos saw this weakness and took advantage. Not only that, the loss of A.I and the psyker issue caused humanity to become fractured before navigators were a thing to replace the A.I. (idea basically stolen from Dune).

Basically humanity was in a fractured state spread out across planets getting raided, souls eaten by daemons, and ruled over by petty warlords. The same was true on Terra. Terra was like a microcosm of what was happening to humanity across the galaxy.

And lorelets wonder why the Imperium is the way it is. It isn't for no reason.

Kibellah is 200% emotionally dependent on you, to the point literally her entire personality by the end of the game is no more and no less than what you told her to be, she's barely even a character herself.
Yrliet would insist she doesn't depend on you emotionally but then would anyway but then would say she despises you if you insisted buthen would and then wouldn't and holy fuck shut up you obnoxious racist. And literally the only reason she's alive at all is at your whim. Not even the other eldar like having her around.
Jae doesn't depend emotionally on you at all, no. She's just simply a gold digger taking advantage of you to get herself a spot in the ship and a trade warrant for her own business. The only positive is that at least she's embarrassed and self-conscious enough at the end to try to break up.

In order to get Cassia's and Kibellah's best ends you do have to nurture their independence, and though Kibellah is too deeply broken to ever not be a Death Cultist, Cassia's ability to stand up for herself makes or breaks House Orsellio if you don't help her become a more realised person
I would say that's part of the appeal of the romances, helping each other out, but since this is a power fantasy videogame the trouble actually lies with the fact that they can't really do much for you since you're already the coolest, most emotionally stable/unstable person in the galaxy

Wouldn't do anything. It would just reinforce even more heavily the alpha strike nature of the game. They need a complete rework of the combat to salvage it, the damage is too high and the defensive options too few. The shields in this DLC are an obvious attempt to help shore this up but ultimately it's not even close to enough.

No, there isn't, at least not during Act 2. The next choices to rid yourself of her come in Act 3 and Act 4. However you can still just have Heinrix dispose of her, so do that if you want to see the alternate betrayal storyline.
