I always just used Firefox. For a while there I was using some browser I dint even remember what its called. The icon was some kind of blue sphere. It had gestures that I got use to using. Like you'd rightclick and move the mouse right or left and it was like clicking the back or forward button. Also one for switching tabs. I only started using Firefox when one day I woke up to one of the girls that use to ditch school at my house using my computer and she had downloaded Firefox and was using that. Not having geatures anymore kinda sucked but I just kept using it because whatever the icon is there.

I used to be just like you. When Google pushed Manifest v3 and kinda fucked adblockers, I switched over to Brave. Brave is basically chrome but adblock and shit all works on it really well (also has a lot of security options). You can also sync ALL your chrome stuff with Brave on desktop, and then sync from Brave desktop to Brave mobile.

The only thing you'll have to do is disable all the extra bloat it comes with at the start (settings -> appearance -> disable all the extra shit like brave wallet and brave crypto etc).

Because Brave still runs on Manifest v2 instead of v3 like Chrome, so all adblockers and scripts still work perfectly fine on it. It also has extra security shit you can enable on top of that. It's basically all the good things from Chrome without the bad attached to it.

Chrome is probably the worst version of chromium ironically as it is. Every other browser that's based on it has added their own improvements to it. Even edge is slightly better, if you're willing to deal with microsoft

Librewolf. It's just firefox, but with more privacy.

Makes the most sense to use. I tried Chromium but the pushing of that stupid money-making scheme thing annoyed me and I went back to a firefox-based Browser.

Same. I've got 1811 tabs open and can't be bothered switching them all over. There's also 50 or so extensions to port over. From testing I did with Brave it guzzled even more memory than Chrome so eh.

I don't know about scripts, but this is my first time switching browsers since I last switched from Internet Explorer to Chrome. All the passwords and most extensions seemed to carry over.
