when I first played oblivion back in 06 I did not know you could fast travel at all. I discovered it many hours in on my playthrough on accident when I clicked on a town
every single one since i play by instinct and never read anything

Am I missing a mechanic? I'm playing Tenchu Fatal Shadows and I got to Ayame's version of the cave level and I can't get past the ninja at the cross section between the shortcut, other ninja, and weird slouching short guy. I've been able to get grandmaster in all the levels prior in this game and the previous 3 games without using items (with the exception of the grappling hook) but I can't figure out how to get past this ninja without getting caught while not using an item. You can't stealth kill him because the crouching guy will see no matter how long you wait and you can't go around the ninja since crouching by him is too slow so he turns around before you can get by and running by him isn't an option either since this part of the cave is covered in a puddle which alerts everyone if you don't crouch/roll through it.

I recently had a few instances of this with like little short indie games
Deadseat is the main one.
I kept picking up boards and beartraps, but the monster never actually broke anything as the game was too easy, so I never realised what they were for or used them. I just clicked them, nothing happened, so I went "oh I guess it's for the end of the game" like you picked them up to make a finale easier.
I then got the achievement for "beating the game without using any items" and realised the issue. They seem more useful on hardcore mode, but really the only difficulty with the game is the fucking controls of dragging the mouse to open and close the gameboy.
Another was just Wizard Tower not making it clear the academy had a radio button, so I just spammed levelling up magic until a prestige later when I wondered why everything else was still lvl 1.
It took me between ~2005 and 2025 to realize that I need to take cover in shooters

I almost completely defeated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time without blocking. I only relied on jumping away from enemy attacks (there were no iframes) and time rewinds if I fucked up really bad. Once I parried by accident and realized I can do that, the game instantly became easy mode (and it wasn't that hard to begin with). >>713970507>religious people don't pretend they ultimately take stuff on pure faithI'm confused, isn't that the definition of your version of religion. Like you don't have proof some bearded man made clay dolls and breathed life of them, that a man got eaten by a fish and survived, that some elderly jew built a boat and put two of every animal on it. Believing any of that is 100% pure faith.
I'm also a Christian. I just believe those stories are just allegories like St Irenaeus postulated.
There are plenty of Christians that believe in evolution. It's the default stance outside America.

You go on about "hurr fish that grew legs" bruh what do you think a fucking AMPHIBIAN is? We still have these things TODAY like frogs and salamanders that are born as little fish with gills and grow legs and lungs as they mature. It's a very clear sign these evolutionary events actually happened if it is so beneficial to surviving natural selection that something still uses it without dying out.
There's a misconception among evo deniers that we "came from monkeys" and other phrases like that. NO, no human precursor was born from a fucking chimpanzee. Other apes and monkeys are simply something that we share a far flung common ancestry with, neither humans nor chimps existed at the time. Human traits selected for stamina and intelligence while other apes selected for physical prowess.
We have the whole ass fossil record, why would God put a whole fake fossil record in our earth? Is he just taking the piss at us laughing we thought dinosaurs were real? Hardline creationists just have their head in the sand, ignores the fact that for centuries scientific research has been done in the name of studying God's creation. These days any creationist with a fucking brain at least believes in Intelligent Design because the proof of evolution is really that overwhelming.

I've finished Ace Combat Zero without knowing how to properly score hits. I fired hundreds of missiles per mission and only scored hits by pure luck. For anyone who doesn't know, you actually have to wait until the word "FIRE" in red letters appears onscreen so the missile tracks your target properly. If you fire the missile as soon as you get a lock-on (red aiming reticle), your missile will miss the enemy most of the time. And yet I still finished the game like that.

Even in older whale fossils you see tiny leg bones that would technically be inside the body of the whale proving they were slowly ending the development of them via changes in the DNA. Also the fact that hippos are genetically related to whales than any other species also proves they must have had a land ancestor prior.
