The problem is that the log is way shorter than a regular tree, so it falls a lot quicker. With a full-grown tree they have a lot more time to react. With a real tree the collapse would also start much earlier (when half of it is removed) while in the OP webm almost 95% of the log had to be gnawed away before it finally collapses.
