This is pure marketing sold as reviving old species by these grifters. The mice have no mammoth dna in them, thats science fiction. What they actually did was just isolate the genes that control hair growth and hair density in mice and manipulated them until these guys were made. Their eventual goal is to do the same with elephants, creating a creater that would only superficially look like what we think a mammoth should be, in orher words an abomination. Its not going to happen anytime soon btw, all theyve done is shown that turning on hair genes in mice is possible. Gene editing is incredibly complex and the methods we use for mice dna wont necessarily work for elephants
