All I'm saying is that there's money to be made in video games.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of the modern euro duck comics have a story or two about Scrooge getting into the video games market or something like that.

Yeah, if Disney is at all involved in the selection process, the roster would largely consist of characters featured in cartoons like DuckTales (reboot more likely than the original). Instead of PK you'd get Darkwing and so on.

I mean you could just make sure you have the big hitters for them by adding a ton of Mickey Mouse (who only ever gets to play side-roles/stories in the euro/latino comics) and Goofy stuff. Mmmmaybe add the Goof Troop stuff?
That said Smash has like a shitload of japanese swordfighters only massive weebs know aswell, at the end of the day the main selling point would be how fun it is to play.

The logic was the scientist characters were busy being the technical support, so instead of racing they'd be the ones appearing in item shops etc. Just an excuse to cut down on the roster number, much like how the nephews don't appear because they're children. If adding scientists back in, it'd be Gyro, Spike and Zapotec, Doc Static, maybe on the villain side could have Doctors X, Doublex, Triplex

And a single average Scrooge story has him finding an island with a volcano that spews out molten gold or a 15th century sunken Spanish galleon full of the finest gems in medieval Europe or outright the entire lost treasury of the Knights Templar or Atlantis or El Dorado.

Making 2.5 billion in a 10 year span is not even crumbs to Scrooge, he counts money by the acre not by the billion.

Sounds about right, just need to decide on what the support cast is and what they bring into the story. Is anyone trying to compete with Scrooge, like Glomgold or Rockerduck setting up their own business? Does Scrooge get advice (competent or otherwise) from family & friends, like the nephews being knowledgeable about industry quirks, or Gyro providing development tools? What's the precise nature of the ending gag, is it a total loss for Scrooge, and how much of that is self-inflicted or simply bad luck or bad advice?

European disney comics had lots of guns. Even Donald got shot at by bad guys on a regular basis in DoubleDuck and to a lesser extent in PK.
I think that changed sometimes in the 2010s when American Disney got more involved, now not even the police is allowed to carry guns anymore.

Rosa has a canon, sure, but Barks will have one story where Scrooge gained his fortune through a magical hourglass, then next one where he earned it with hard work, then next one where Duckburg randomly is a futuristic sci-fi city with rockets etc. Barks was very much a proponent of keeping characters roughly consistent but changing anything else as needed

People overexaggerate it out of a mix of Rosa and Ducktales each having softened him and old Italian stories making him outright villainous sometimes, but people assume that's still true in the current day somehow

For instance in 50s, 60s, or 70s stories in Italy you easily find instances of things like Scrooge saying he made his fortune selling Opium in China or kicking Donald and the nephews to live on the streets because he wants to build a highway and so wants to demolish Donald's house, but that's the sort of thing that'd never happen nowadays

Not even that. If you read the artbook there's writing on it on how they came up with the show, and one of the rules outright was "no minecarts", by which they meant "we don't want to do clichés from previous adventure stories". Which is fine, whatever, except they didn't replace it with anything else. They basically did a "subvert your expectations" without anything to show for it

He'd just get on Scrooge's nerves while on their adventures until Scrooge agreed to fund his frequent day trips to Brazil and Mexico to visit his friends if that got him gone for a bit. Daydreamt about a simple story where Magica is working with the Phantom Blot or something and Mickey and Donald just go from Duckburg to Mouseton having to beat all their villains

Before the 80s, Disney films often got rolled into the Disney comics use. Mostly either as occasional standalone stories or sometimes with the rare interaction- I remember a story where the Big Bad Wolf (who himself was a recurring character) teams up with Captain Hook etc to rob the Witch from Snow White's broom; or stories of Captain Hook vs Moby Duck, etc. The mice from Cinderella were often shown living in Grandma Duck's farm and even had a story where they were Mickey sized.

Of all these though the most successful was the rolling of Mad Madam Mim. While all the others kept a certain air of "crossover", Mim, maybe through the obscurity of her movie appearance, and through the fact she got a TON of stories with characters like Magica, the Beagle Boys, the Phantom Blot, just became part of the setting integrally.
