How often do you replay games?
Anonymous No.713975220 [Report]
>>713975131 (OP)
too often

i'm currently replaying the mass effect trilogy for... maybe 5th time?
Anonymous No.713976517 [Report] >>713979658 >>713980295
depends on a game

Games that i'm confident I can say i've played through either nearing or over 100 times.
>gears of war 1
>silent hill 1
>ocarina of time
>majora's mask
In that order. I would not be surprised if there wasn't a a life statistic saying I bear gears nearly 200 times.

I usually give a game a few years before I jump in for a replay because I tend to do everything when I first play through them, I don't tend to leave things for a later playthrough.

I'd like to lie to you and say "Not very often", but I've replayed many game about 4 or 5 times, and that's bad considering I have so many other games I need to get around to playing.

I always have burnout 3 ready for when I want to jump in for a while but as far as replaying a game from start to finish? Maybe for 1 game every 10 years.

generally I'm not going to replay a 100+ hour game. grandpa is doing it wrong, he should just replay individual missions and fuck around in multiplayer if he loves the game that much. older games get more replays from me because they tend to be shorter, and only the ones that I really enjoyed, I ain't replaying fallout 3 in my life.
Anonymous No.713978084 [Report]
I will replay loop hero about once a year. It has its problems especially micro managing loot on non rogue after ever fight, but I really like the style/story and gameplay

I've beaten Bayo 1 at least five times, almost all 100% for the platinum.
My PS3 Bayo platinum is still incomplete and the filthy trophy whore in me is tempted to go for it although I know I should play new games.

Collecting 120 stars is a constant stream of dopamine hits that doesn't get boring before it's over.

Why old people that get into games end up autistically focusing on a single game?
Anonymous No.713979073 [Report]
>>713978926
Once you get old enough you are set in your ways and you dont change unless you have a lot of willpower or you are forced to.
It's also because they probably dont want to try other games.
Needless to say things will be very interesting when I'm an old man, I wonder what games I could even play at 60+, games like Stellar Blade, Kingdom Hearts, or God of War would probably get harder due to my reaction time going down

Absolutely never. I don't like replaying games because it means doing the same linear sections again and again even if there's some branching available.

Always. Good games are supposed to be replayed over and over.
I mean I don't play single player games, they do are a fucking waste of time.

In my youth, fairly often. In my adult life, less and less. I always have tons of games that sound appealing to me. I finally start one of them up. After I get several hours into it and it starts to become repetitive, the next option starts to sound more appealing, and I move on. I mostly play co-op experiences with friends and rarely beat any single-player games. The last single-player game I actually completed was Expedition 33. I can't even remember what was before that. It's probably one of the Supraland games years prior.

My boomer parents are like this. My mother has been playing Tetris since its release. I bought her a GBA-SP to replace her old GB since the down on the d-pad was worn out. Got her a few old classic games to go with it, Pac-man, Galaga, etc. No interest, just Tetris every day until the day she dies. My father, the old RTS game Dark Reign since its release. Tried getting him similar RTS games like Total Annihilation, StarCraft, etc. Again, no interest. Although at least he started playing Sudoku a couple of years ago, so he's branched out - it only took two decades to get there.

Depends on long the intro takes to start. Life if there's shit I can't skip like cutscenes, tutorials, or whole ass sections I don't want to do more than once then chance are I'm never playing the game again after beating it. Example, I have no problem replaying games like Link's Awakening or Dragon's Dogma, but I'm not going back to Majora's Mark or Monster Hunter World anytime soon, or ever again.
