I'd say roughly 14-16 hours of story campaign thus far.

There is a system that fixes saves if they are fucky wucky from a MAJOR engine update, like one time changing Unity versions, but normal updates have not broken my saves. Still a good idea to hold a backup save just in case.

Little bit of A, little bit of B. Recent update this month added 2 new areas to the story, but that is said to be the last major update before the 1.0 release on September. We might bet some minor quality of life update in before then.
There have been few updates that reworked old areas or added a new midpoint area, like Chroma Falls got reworked and Windy Meadows was added into early game.
