The manga and season 0 are excellent, for different reasons than the anime. The anime is more about the card game. The manga and season 0 are about games in general, and the shy Yugi growing into a confident man like Atem. The supporting characters are a lot better, the stakes are varied as Yugi is more like a heroic Jigsaw, and the final arc with Egypt and the final duel are a lot more intuitive. I recommend it
